Amazing value again from Ebuyer!

These cold cathodes are great. To those of you saying they are dim are you blind? they are quite bright enough for me and my UV reactive IDE cables and Antec UV reactive fans (which are also very good!)

These have good length cables on them. You get 3 basic sections (all seperate)
1 - A black box which connects to the power and to the 2 cathodes.
2 - The cathodes themselves with 30cm cables
3 - The power lead which connects to the black box but also has a wire going off to a switch.

Of course you also get fixing pads and 2 tiny cable ties.

Hope this convinces anyone who is still not sure about this product! They are ace for the price!

Very nice, good value package, just as it says on the tin, 2 x 12 inch (will fit well lengthways across a standard MiDi case) cold cathode tubes. Fulfills all expectations

They seem to get hot, but if they are affixed to the case itself I doubt this will result in an overall change in temperature (plus it gave me an excuse to buy a UV reactive PCI blower from EBuyer hehe)

They do, however, use up a lot of juice - I initially had system crashes because I had carelessly attatched them to feed off the hard drive power, not a problem, just take more care than I did. So far, no problems, four stars.

This product gets its fifth star because:
A) It came 3 days earlier than expected, nice one EBuyer
B) Extras: Nice On/Off switch, sticky-backed paper to affix to wherever you want, white cables to show off the UV :)

The power is so good that it even illuminates the dust on the bottom of my case in bright white

These work great, the one star reviews are nonsense you must've got dud tubes! I was trying to find UV reactive permanent paint to apply to the capacitors but no joy unless I order from the US.... my advice use sticky white round labels and colour them in with highlighters it works a treat..... and forget all that talk about having the UV light 2-5CMs away, if the surface you trying to light has TRUE UV reactive properties it works from quite a distance!

this is the best UV Cathode kit. any one who says thay are dimm they are is because they are using other type of lighting with it so the UV light looks dimm. if you use UV fans instead of LED fans u will get a great effect, plus i know you have to fiddle with them to get an even mount of lighting; you just have to find a good place to put them. some say you have to place them up-close but you dont need to just dont use other LED fans (UV LED FANS ARE OK. overal you should get them. take a look at my web page where i have used them. - http://www.nas-tec.uk.ro/mypc.htm.

Sent for this item, which arrived two days earlier than the date, however one of the tubes was broken about 2/3 along its length. Ebuyer have replaced the kit free of charge and told me to keep the one working tube: excellent customer service indeed, hence five stars! Aside from this, the cathodes seem to light up the uv bits in my case very well too.

I put these in my car boot and they light the UV reactive logo on my sub really well. They are really bright.

To the person that was looking for UV reactive paint... You can buy it from any half decent model shop. It's sold in little tins for painting figures, but any floresent paint will do.

For the price, these lights are the bees knees. I found an interesting thing though - keep the included bubble wrap on the lights to make them super bright! The bubble wrap glows really well under UV and is quite stunning. I can now drive my car looking like a christmas tree :o)
Obviously, these fit well in any tower case, might be a bit cramped in a mini tower though - check first with a measuring tape!
I'll be buying more of these to actually put in my pc this time!

These cathodes are very good for what you're paying. You'd need 2 to get a good effect out of them, and they didn't make my case glow purple, but they did wonders with my UV fans and still give of a pretty good effect. Anyway, for £3.72, don't bother anywhere else!
