why such length?
i need a sata cable for new 750gb drive, why on earth do you only seem to stock 60cm cables? 10cm would reach, 30cm realistically so can be fitted to drive in any slot. have you lot got 1mtr squared pc towers or something? lol
am forced to buy one, will give proper review once received.
have to give 5 stars now as it can obviously reach those hard to reach places and belkin make quality cables.
Nice but it is angled
os:
Not ApplicableGood quality cable as we expect from Belkin. 0.6m is long (60cm for the metrically impaired, or approx. 2') but it comes loosely looped around itself and so has a natural coil which, if used, keeps it out of the way.
In answer to earlier query it is SATA 2.0 (Serial ATA 300 or 3.0GB/s).
Be warned: it is the cheaper alternative to the Belkin 18" SATA 2.0 cable (at the moment; prices seem to fluctuate wildly between the two - not sure what you're up to there ebuyer!) but it does have a right angle turn at one end - you should plan how you will incorporate this into your build before going for the cheaper option as the right angled end faced UP from my DVD+RW/ROM and faced IN from my main board, neither of which were really any help and neither of which were preferable to a straight connection.
5* but check that you want the right angle first.
As Cheap As It Is Long!
os:
Windows XPBought one of these as it was the cheapest on the site. Tis BELKIN also so no worries there.
60cm is quite long inside the box but this thing comes looped with re-usable cable ties .... My advice .... re-use them!
Jobs Jobbed!
Soft, strong and very long
os:
Windows XPBelkin make good quality cables and this is no exception. It is long but that's handy if your disks are a long way from the motherboard connector.
Be aware the right angle on this cable is the wrong way around for certain Dell cases (I have a Poweredge SC440 for example). This was therefore a wasted purchase for me, but doesn't affect my rating.
Wrong hand for XPS420
os:
Windows VistaI bought this to install an additional disk into my Dell XPS 420. Unfortunately, the cable is totally the wrong hand at the right angle connector, and is therefore useless in for that application. Also the cable is more ribbon like and is not as flexible as some.
sata I/II
is this a SATA I or a SATA II cable?
