Better than tapes

This is a great bit of kit

Use this with Backup Exec and you've got faster than tape backups.

I've had this running over two weeks and have had 100% backup reports.

os: Max OSX

We have had a firewire version of one of these drives for just over a year, used on Macs running OSX as a daily backup for a design studio. In that time we have had 2 cartridges die on us, and the main unit has had a power supply problem (had to be sent back to manufacturer - in Holland, I think) and the replacement one set on fire and again had to go back. Now on our 3rd cartridge and 3rd unit in a year!!
Very good idea, very fast, very inexpensive compared to other methods, just need to work on reliability in our opinion.

Bought three of these. All three PSUs failed when they were 12 months old. Replaced for free under warranty. Now the first is two years old and has failed completely. Will not read a disk - just clunks. Iomega say they do not do a repair service, but will offer a 20% discount on a replacement. I think NOT. REV is good idea, that just does not work properly.
