best low cost microfilter

This is the best low cost microfilter I have bought. This one does allow the ring tone through to old style telephones, unlike most other cheap microfilters.

Excellent Filters

I have them installed on three sockets - one with a DECT cordless phone, one with analogue cordless phone and one with analogue modem.

No problems with any of them. No interference whatsoever and clean ADSL connections. Especially pleased as our ADSL enabled exchange has been unable to reach us for the last few years until BT rolled out RADSL last month.

Works Fine but 50% Failure Rate !

I ordered 2 of these and they arrived within a few days. Both worked fine on the ADSL but 1 did not work for the phone conection - No dial tone. I'm currently in the RMA process for a replacement and will comment when this is finished (been waiting 2 days now!)

The 1 Filter which is working works fine with both my DECT phone and the standard fixed line. No noise present and caller ID works fine.

So I would recomend them for the price...

What remains to be seen is ebuyers RMA process

RMA Process

E buyer has now replaced the filter which was faulty. - not worth sending it back at £3.52. They have therefore supplied a replacement which is the cheaper plug in micro filter. okay I guess although this is not what I originally ordered. Still at least it seems to work.

Works fine with my Safecom router, only downside is you get some static when using the phone. Doesn't affect the internet connection at all however.

I have now tried one of these filters for a voice connection (not the adsl modem connection, I used the manufacturer's one for that). It seems to work OK, leaving a clear sound and definitely filtering out the high frequency noises apparent when not using a filter. I haven't got caller ID so I'm not sure if that works.

Another good sign is that there is no green wire connecting the ring signal to the filter, which the adslnation review said was very bad about some other filters that ebuyer used to sell.

My first order from ebuyer.

I ordered four Dynamode microfilters and they sent me these instead. Maybe they were out of stock but there was no explanation. I was also missing one other item in the order. Anyway, after figuring out how to use the ticketing service, as they don't accept emails, I have notified them and there was a speedy response with my missing item being sent out and instructions on how to RMA the microfilters.

The Dynamode filters are the cheapest on ebuyer at the moment, even cheaper than the plugin type ebuyer ones, but I have seen them on other sites for a fiver, so maybe in real terms they are worth more than the ebuyer inline replacements I got. Also I did want to try the more compact type filters, and the Dynamode brand might have counted for a little at least.
