A necessity

I'd recommend this product to anyone comfortable removing the side of their PC case. Your CPU and GPU fans can tend to pick up a lot of dust, clogging them up, slowing them down and eventually causing heat problems that can damage your chips. I never dust my house because I'm lazy, so once a month I pop out this little gizmo, give the fans a quick clean up and it stops making that dreadful noise!

I bought one of these from PCWorld (spit) about 4 years ago and it hasn't let me down yet. The other review about it needing cleaning often is true, but tapping it a bit is all it takes. It performs well too, sucking up any dust on your boards, even rogue dog hairs, and has pretty much every attachment you need for the job.

Reliable, Good Performance and Cheap. Worth 4 stars in my book.

A necessity if you air-blast your case clean

I have to admit I found this slightly useless on its own. The suction power is not great enough to even get things in between the keys of my keyboard, and you would be hard-pressed to clean a fan, circuit board or connector with this.

That is where the Belkin Blaster (Quickfind: 44717) comes in. It would be nice if Belkin (or eBuyer!) could offer the two products in a set, as I have never used one without the other.

Use the Blaster, a can of compressed air, to blow all the dust to the bottom of the case. Then, use the Minivak to hoover up all the dust off the bottom. Presto, a nice clean PC case! You also avoid damaging sensitive components this way.

Four stars because it is useless on its own, but in conjunction with the Blaster it becomes a necessity.

Ive found this a very useful item for refurbishing old machines.

Those who bought this item and expected it to have the suction power of a Dyson bought this cleaner for the wrong reason!

If your cleaning the interior of a box the correct procedure is to use a can of compressed air to loosen the dust and allow it to settle at the bottom of the case AND THEN use this vacuum. Some people also like to use a little brush to remove dust......of course remembering to take anti-static precautions while your doing all of this. The suction power is perfectly adequate for this task.

Pretty basic stuff when you think about it.

More useful than useless

Its a nice little gadget to add to your toolbox for looking after your pc...

Agree with other reviews - defintely useful for cleaning fans and insides of case - though I find given its limited power I have to unplug a few things to get it into the corners. Definitely beats having to take the whole pc apart to brush the dust/dirt out...

Just don't expect it to suck out all the crap you've let build up between the keys on your keyboard.

At £8 its not bad - worth ordering with other items to split the p & p

Overall useful tool for cleaning your pc properly - particularly if you're a regular upgrader/modder - but not as a quick alternative for proper cleaning!
