I bought this for my Samsung X15+, which only came with 256MB to start with as nearly all new computers and laptops nowadays. I knew from working with computers a lot that they obviously needed more than that so i bought this knowing that Crucial were a good brand that I had used before. It fitted straight in, doesnt void my warranty and makes a huge difference on boot-up time and application running, especially with big images.

Cheers!

Made a world of difference on Toshiba Satellite A60 Pro

My Toshiba Satellite A60 Pro was desperately short of RAM (256MB but in reality only 192MB due to 64MB going to the graphics card). Even basic applications were slow to load but ran fairly well when they were loaded. and it frequently caused the graphics driver to crash when the RAM was heavily loaded, especially when a USB hard drive/flash drive was connected. Now that I've got this RAM, after a two-minute job of attaching the chip, it's made a whole world of difference. Programs load and run really nicely now and the graphics driver hasn't crashed once. I'd recommend this RAM to anybody who owns a Toshiba Satellite series laptop.

Toshiba 256Mb + Crucial 512Mb
review by: Anonymous os: Windows XP

I bought this SODIMM for my Toshiba Satellite A40-241 laptop, which initially had 256Mb of RAM (up to 64Mb of which are consumed by the graphic card).
So, now I have 256Mb+512Mb and I feel the difference - the laptop is working noticeably faster. Additionally, there is much less crunching sound in the hard drive. :-)

works fine, no problems at all on an HP PAVILLION.

Although, I ordered on july 22nd and chose the free delivery, which meant it should be delivered august 2nd, thing is that it never turned up.

Finally arrived a full 7 days late.

PRODUCT = 5/5
SERVICE = 1/5

Wont be using free supersaver delivery again. id rather pay the few £ and get it quickly instead of waiting about 18 days

I could hardly bare to use my Toshiba Laptop with its measly 256MB RAM (minus whats used for display memory). Application switching and general windowing peformance was sluggish to say the least (though once it got going is was OK!). I guess I was a bit spoilt by the 2GB of RAM in my main workstation.

Anyway, I ordered this on Monday (it's 3 quid cheaper today!). Bunged it in - and bob's yer uncle. The wee feller has got a new lease of life. Fairly flying it is.

It's almost like I've got a new computer. I'll be making more use of it from now on.

Im confused ...

Ok, im not sure whats going on here. Firstly, crucial memory is amongst the best and its great that ebuyer sells it. However, when im looking to buy a stick i also check the crucial uk site and download their scanner which checks my system and recommends memory which is always specific to my system and for some reason slightly cheaper than Ebuyer non specific but same brand stuff. At the time of checking, Crucial were not charging for delivery either. So id advise that you check crucial uk first.

As an avid mac user its always a bit worrying when buying third party ram, but sticking with Crucial has once again paid off. The DIMM slotted in to my iBook G4 without a hitch and was easily recognised by the OS. Installation took about 2 mins. I have crucial ram in all my macs and ive never had a problem.

Cheers

I've got a Toshiba Satelite Pro L10 which comes as standard with 512MB RAM. Although this is enough for most things, I use my laptop for java/visual studio .net programming and running virtual machines (which use system RAM).

Installing this made a difference straight away and at 50-ish pounds this is an absolute bargain. Its easy to install and doesn't void the warranty of your laptop.

I would highly recommend this to anyone whose laptop is starting to get sluggish!

Otherwise known as a Mitac 8355.

I upgraded from Windows XP to Windows XP x64 (the 64 bit version) and boy what a massive improvement it made going from 512MB to 1024MB with this stick of memory.
