Excellent Memory for games!
review by: Thomas Wongrating:

os: Windows XP

If anyone is looking to speed up their system and games, this is it! My laptop originally had a 64mb graphics card with 256mb of memory, but after installing this 1GB module (along with my 256) it gave both my games: Battlefield 2 and half life 2 a massive boost, and I've been able to play them very smoothly on a high detail.

The overall system feels very good. WinXP loads up much quicklier and applications such as Adobe Premiere load and have worked like a dream so far. Great Stuff! Highly recommended!

Powerbook Compatible!
review by: Greig Marshall os: Max OSX

I bought this RAM after cross-referencing the specs with the exact same product advertised elsewhere as Powerbook compatible at a considerable premium. However, it should be noted that this RAM works beautifully with my Powerbook G4 1Ghz despite not being advertised so.

I used to have 512MB, which I thought should have been enough. Having 1.2GB really makes a difference though. It goes without saying that the extra memory helps with image, video and sound manipulation programs, but I find it makes Dashboard and Spotlight more responsive, shaving the second delays off in the areas that I got used to expecting them.

If you're not sure if it's worth upgrading from 512MB to 1.2GB*, at this price you really can't go wrong.

*The Powerbook comes with 256MB of built-in RAM, so adding a 1GB stick gives you 1.25GB total.

It's RAM - your laptop needs it - this is big RAM - I bought two and installed them in my Samsung X30 and now I can run Microsoft VPC without my machine grinding to a halt. Serious RAM for serious applications. Now all I need is a big hi-speed HDD!

Used this chip to upgrade my Apple i-book G4 from the standard 256Mb up to 1.25Gb. Installed in minutes and works like a dream, speeding up all applications. Plus much cheaper than buying the equivalent chip from the Apple site!

I bought 2 of these for my Acer Aspire 3000 (which used to have 256MB) my machine is now flying along! It makes such a big difference, its amazing. Guess what, Today my C drive ran out of space (0 bytes free) but my laptop is still running as fast as ever, and i've got 6 applications open, including IE & Windows Media Player playing a 300MB video file!! Amazing.

RELIABLE, INEXPENSIVE ALTERNATIVE TO A NEW MacBookPro!

Having just completed the install of a 160Gb Segate hard drive (also from ebuyer - reviewed elsewhere) in my 17" Powerbook, I then installed the 2 x 1Gb SODIMMs. WOW! Great performance in PhotoShop CS2 and elsewhere. The long awaited upgrade I've been waiting for. The MacBookPro can now wait a further 2 years! Great service ebuyer - as always!
