Compatability
os:
LinuxI bought 2 cards and each works with the driver straight out of the box for Windows and the same with Linux. One of the easist cross platform things I've installed. Very happy with this.
Works fine with FreeBSD 5.x
os:
OtherBought one for a FreeBSD 5.3 server and it was recognized out of the box. Using it linked up to a Apple G4 PowerMac. It runs fine and is blisteringly fast.
I've just ordered some more and a Gigabit switch for use with video editing.
Great cards, but you'll need a recent Linux kernel
os:
LinuxThese cards are great - I have two in my gateway.
However, support for this card was only added to the Linux kernel in version 2.6.10. (The card is based on the 8169 chipset; although Linux had 8169 support prior to 2.6.10, only in 2.6.10 was this card associated with the driver.)
Another great thing about this card: it comes with full height and half height PCI brackets.
Excellent Piece of Hardware

Windows XPThat is the Best Network hardware I have ever used, I have an IC7-G motherboard with built in Intel Gigabit adapter it died recently and since then I have been trying all types of Network PCI cards and none of them worked even D-Link 10/100. But this one worked and it Is very powerful, Cheap and very easy to install I would recommended it to every one.
Great Card
os:
OtherI've purchased a number of these from ebuyer.
The cards come in a retail box with instructions and driver CD as you'd expect, but these cards also come with the added bonus of a WOL (Wake On Lan) cable and also an alternative low profile bracket.
The actual performance of the card is also something worth noting, in my network I found its performance to be the same as Intel's 1000MT.
I'd recommend this card to anyone.
Brilliant

Windows XPThis is an excellent item, for a great price.
Simple to install. Connected with my MSI motherboard's onboard Gig LAN within seconds.
Connected at 1000Mbps (1.0Gbps) first time.
Worth every penny!
Gigabit ethernet for less than a tenner ? Surely not ?
os:
Windows XPWell its here and its great.
Connected straight away at 1Gb and not had any problems so far.
Brilliant

Windows XPA fantastic little bit of kit. £8 for a gigabit card? Automatically detected under Windows XP/2003? Drivers supplied work fine with 98/2000 and Linux. It's great, you need no more than this if looking for gigabit LAN.
Vista 32 & 64
According to the Microsoft Vista Hardware Compatibility List, Vista has drivers for this D-Link card DGE-528T and also the DGE-530T. It states...
x86 Driver available as part of Windows Vista
x64 Driver available as part of Windows Vista

Look under "Networking" > "Network Cards" or do a search on the site to find the pages.
I have used both these cards on WinXP 32 and they were fantastic.
OK so far

Windows XPArrived on time in a non-battered box for once.
Loaded in XP fine, followed the simple instructions, no problems yet, but don't yet have any other Gigabit rated equipment to test its capabilities. Have connected up the supplied Wake on LAN cable to my motherboard, will report back if problems occur - need to play with the feature first.
