Fantastic Build & Quality
os:
Windows XPLets face it, apart from the performance of any computer the monitor, keyboard and mouse are the very things that can instantly impress or put us off any computer. The quality and feel is very important.
Bought this as part of a custom build PC for a customer. Apart from the rest of the PC equipment I was very proud of this wirless keyboard and mouse from Microsoft. It looks the business and will make any computer look great. This product is now on my custom build hotlist!
You get a CDROM, keyboard, mouse and excellent batteries. If this product is anything like the Elite version from Microsoft then the battery life is excellent!
As someone who is very fussy about first impressions and how things look I say Buy With Confidence!
Amazing..

Windows XPI brought one of these from toys'r'us for £30, and i have been amazed with the quality, battery's included, decent size, not to heavy.. so overall brillient for the quality.
10/10

os:
Windows XPBrilliant wireless set; keyboard and mouse both look great, mouse feels great, and the keyboard is amazing! It's both very comfortable to type on and very quiet.
A sure buy for the price - I recommend to anyone.

Windows XPThis is a blinding bit of kit!
Left my old keyboard and mouse plugged in whilst installing, this one. Put the drivers in first, restarted the machine, plugged the usb receiver in, windows recognised the new hardware and in about 2 minutes set up was complete. Voila!!
The keyboard has good build quality, keys feel nice to the touch. The mouse is responsive with no lag. All in all, 10 out of 10.
Good Product / Mouse Light on question
Excellent product, both mouse and keyboard very responsive - which is what i was concerned about.
A good thing not mentioned here is that you can enable or disable individually any of the additional function keys which allow you to open your mail client or browser etc at the touch of one key. You can also, if you wish to , map other software to these keys.
A highly recommended product this one.
One thing I have noticed is that the red optical light (under the mouse) stays on at all times even when pc is off. I have a glass desk which is how i noticed.
I would have expected the mouse to 'shut itself down' after a period of time of no use to save battery.
I'm curious if this is the same for everyone???
Just the Job

LinuxAs with other MS hardware I have this was up to the usual MS standard. Well built, well finished, looks good and feels good to use. I am using this through a Belkin KVM(75774) with a Suse Linux 10 Desktop and an XP laptop. I was slightly concerned about using an MS wireless/usb kyb/mouse on Linux but it works great and I am realy pleased.
Microsoft can get it right!

Windows XPI find it a rare day that you buy something cheap and end up being happy with it.
Well, I was over the moon! As everyone else has mentioned the build quality look and feel of the keyboard are superb. The keyboard being light weight and can sit comfortably on your lap, has just the right ammount of multimedia buttons on it. Nothing overwhelming that puts you off using them like so many other keyboards. The range of the "wirelesses" is fantastic I have an 8ft living room and use the mouse and keyboard with no problems at all over that distance. The one gripe that I have is the mouse. Maybe because I have been spoilt with my current mouse, being a "Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0a".
The supplied mouse is a 2 button optical/wireless with a scroller wheel between the two buttons. Although lightweight I did miss the feature of my previous mouse having more buttons, but that is down do need/preference.
On that note it is worth pointing out that my old wireless Microsoft mouse linked up with the supplied Microsoft Dual USB receiver with no problems at all.
Over all I would not only highly recomend this, I will use it in all my future builds.
Great piece of kit

Windows XPGot this for a new build, and it works a treat. Excellent build quality.
Exellent

Windows XPThis is a great piece of Kit for the money from
Microsoft. I cant believe how cheep this is!
The unit looks great and the buttons are not off putting as previously described. The unit and drivers were installed and worked instantly. Range seems fine and the mouse is as good as you would expect from microsoft. No complains here!!
Im going to buy another one to replace the one im typing this review with!
