Windows XPBought this for my XFX 7900 GS.
Original cooler keep my card at 58/87-load Celsius, little noisy.
Connect it directly to power supply, keep my card now on 46/64-load Celsius. Absolutely quiet.

NV Silencer 6 Rev 2 + 5700LE = No-no.

I recently purchased this cooler for my XFX Geforce FX 5700LE, as its fan had recently died. I made the bad judgement of assuming the 5700LE used the same base as the normal 5700. And so the cooler did not fit the card.
Rather than pay to return the thing, I thought I may as well have a bash at it, and ended up using a drill to make a new hole in the copper and a tap in screw. I also needed to drill some of the upper heatsink due to resistors on the card...
After all this fannying about, I almost expected the card to die on the spot, but no. It works :O just played a quick game of quake, and ran 3dmark a couple of times for some quick stability tests. All seems well so far. I shall keep testing though.
Sadly my card does not have a temperature monitor so i cannot comment on just how much it has cooled the card. It is very quiet though. Cant hear it above my psu/cpuheatsink. Because of this I have decided to give this product 5 stars, as it also good value for money in my eyes. However if you have an LE version of the FX5700 card, beware.
Cheap, efficient and silent.

Windows VistaI just installed the silencer on my 7300GT (DDR3 model) following the death of the stock fan. Temps dropped by 10 degrees at idle. Haven't monitored at burn but I can't hear it so all good.

Windows XPVery large and bulky especially when trying to fit two in sli mode. It is possible with some serious mods to the second cooler. Very easy to fit provided the old cooler isnt glued to the card. Very quiet when running and the hot air is exhausted directly out of the case.
Not compatible with the MSI 6800GS
Just an FYI, but this cooler does not fit the MSI 6800GS
will this fit xfx fx5700 ultra ?
Anyone know if this will fit a XFX FX5700 Ultra?
