Very quiet

Installed this fan easily - obviously, it's a case fan.

It is very quiet. In fact you can't hear it, not even close up!

The previous fan ran at 2700rpm, and case temperature was 34 deg C (stable after an hour or so).

By comparison, this fan is currently running at 1800rpm, temp is 32 deg C (running for two hours).

Highly recommended.

Outstanding and practically silent

Ive had my case for about two years now and when I built my current rig I got some black standard 8cm fans to cool it. They werent the quietest of things but they shifted air. I got sick of the noise recently and bought these fans off of the back of the other reviews. I had considered the eBuyer fans with colours built in because folk said that they were quiet and great for a quid plus VAT but I found that due to the LEDs on them if you want to vary the speed it kind of messes things up.

These fans are not gimmicky they are fully functional excellent pieces of workmanship and design. I have a Thermaltake HS/F on my AMD 64 bit CPU which is near silent and now I have four of these fans running at full whack the only thing I can hear coming from my case is the chugging of my GPU fan that needs to be replaced.

They come in simple but effective packaging. You get screws and an adapter kit with each fan which will convert from the motherboard style plug to a molex connecter. The design is such that you can use an existing devices molex connector and that then piggy backs into your device again without any excess cabling.

Dont ponder any longer these are the fans you are looking for. Brilliant value and as others have said so quiet youll clip and hurt your ear with the fan blades by holding it too close trying to hear any noise off of these babies! Buy one, in fact buy as many as your case will take.

Quality is assured.

AKASA Amber series fans are probably the best value, truly quiet fans, readily available today. Using them as upgrades/replacements for other manufacturers equipment always pays dividends. If noise is your problem than I strongly recommend this product and all the others in the amber series. Quality is assured.

Worth the extra pennies

Superior product this. I bought six. Strapped three on old AMD Duron CPU heatsinks (don't suggest this to the man in PC World who flips his hands about like the robot from Lost in Space) using 60-80mm adaptors (order code 55453) in lieu of rattling old original AMD fans. Also swapped out two original black budget case fans, and on my PC threw away the hideously noisy dustcatching Coolermaster Aero (from my AMD Athlon CPU). Instant improvements on all PCs in lowering decibels, rev vibration and background noise. A great buy all round. Don't be tempted by the 99p fans, go for these. You won't regret it.

They do the job!
review by: George Boyce os: Windows XP

Have to agree totally with the other comments; these fans do the job perfectly. I bought 3 to replace some old noisy (cheap) fans I had; they are totally silent, (even close up as the other reviewer said), and they have shaved 3-4 degrees off my previous case temp. Worth the extra couple of quid IMHO.

5 stars extra to Ebuyer who delivered 3 days early, great job, guys!

Quiet fans, great buy
review by: Joe Golding os: Windows XP

Great fans, very quiet and look quite good too. Come with 2 types of connector to plug into motherboard or normal PSU.
Only annoyance is you have to make your own thread in the plastic holes with the supplied screws as they don't come pre-threaded. Not too bad, although you do think you might break the plastic as you do it. Great Otherwise

Bought this to replace the 39 pence Ebuyer cheepo fan as I really couldn't take the noise anymore.
Normal 4 screw fixing. Took all of 5 minutes.
A vast improvement in reducing the noise in my home office.
Next PC I build will use these as standard.

Well, they are what they say on the tin, case fans.

Easy enough to fit and, in case it helps any, the outflow is on the same side as the company logo on the ones I bought.

Good airflow and quieter than my last set of fans.

Looks good, extremely quiet and rips in the cold air. Exellent product.

I set 2 of these up to a fan controller, i was going to get 4 but the wires arnt long enough to reach from the fan controler to the back of the case so i attached them to my side case panel
