XBox 360 Premium/Deluxe Pack
review by: Rebecca Mysiakrating:

After Pre-Ordering on Amazon on October 7th and waiting for 4 Months in hope for it to arrive, I browsed through Ebuyers website and found these in stock.

Promptly cancelled my amazon order and bought one on here, ordered on 27th Jan delivered on 31st Jan.

Arrived very securely packed (not a box with a brick in it - like many people accross the country received, from other companies - not Ebuyer)

The Console and accessories are all excellent Quality and although the high price they're great Value for Money.

Ebuyers description of these consoles states that it will include a media remote control, which is wont, these were only included in launch stock.

The Built in media center is excellent, if you insert a music cd you can rip music onto the hard-drive, or you can plug in (via usb) digital cameras mp3 players etc and stream music or view slideshows etc.

If you are tempted to buy one, don't hesitate, you'll love it.

The only bad points about the console in my opinion are:

The cooling fans combined with the Disc Drive in operation can be a bit too loud, I just turn the volume on my TV up to compensate :D

The Power Adapter Pack is Huge, Nearly a Foot Long and about 2 or 3 KGS, Which is ok if you have an LCD to hide it behind, but hard to hide otherwise!

Happy Shopping!

XBOX 360 rules the roost.! The PS3 is a Bit**h to programme said an INSIDER
review by: DAVID GLASGOWrating:

Note** Important Please take time to read.!

Before I start, I was a PS2 Fan (BIG FAN), however SONY have let us down, with failed promise after failed promise, so I will Not be BUYING the PS3...
After reading many articals in the news and online , including the INSIDER Mag. Report that the PS3 is a programmers Nightmare, + the £500+ Price Tag, I have decided Microsoft Xbox 360, is the machine I will be sticking by. Its Online Comunnity XBOX Live is a real winner, and Im loving every minute of it....

(((Please read Below...Thanx))))

Ive Had My 2 Xbox 360's from Day One, as I bought them a little less than retail, I bought (2) 1, In the living room, and 1, in my Bedroom. They Both Never Over-Heat at all, Nor shut down or cause any malfunction problems at all....

They operate like a Dream come true, Out of this world HD Graphics at 60 Frames Per Sec, and that never dropps... you could only get such power, if you spent about £1500.00 on an ((SLI PC)) with (2) 7900GTX 512MB GeForce Graphics cards, now look up the price of all this stuff, and add it all up, and remember we still have only (2) Core CPU's to BUY off the shelf, NOT (3) Core CPU's running at 3.2Ghz Each, if you do the math that is pretty hot stuff.... and all including a 20Gb Detachable HD, WiFi a/b/g wireless controller, with can handle 4 on one console.. 3 USB 2.0 ports, all for only £274.97 BARGIN are What??? eBuyer are cheapest, and can offer next day delivery...

Upgradeable Hi Def HD DVD-Drive later this year to watch Hi Def Movies HD-DVD's will be the King of the castle... and that is only my personal point of view, which Im perfectly entitled to have!!!....

So Having being a SONY Fanboy for 8 years, I have decided that you get more Fun, Graphics, Games, Online-5-Star-Freedom for your Dollar, than SONY's for ever changing PS3, which aparently NOT even at this Time of writing this ad, at 9.30am Sat 15th July 2006, Sony Cannot even produce a Decent BETA PS3, never mind a finished PS3, YET they said 3 million are in production as we speak, what waffle, if you believe SONY's Hype well I feel sorry for you.... "Dont Believe the Hype"

"Dont Delay and buy today"

Thanks for reading,
Regards, David

Im converted to the xbox 360.

Ive always been a sony fan and have had every console since the original playstation. So i was convinced that i would be buying the ps3.

However since discovering some of the truths about the console such as the enormous price and dissapointing features i decided to switch loyalty and buy the xbox 360, which i did in june this year. Since then i have loved every aspect of the console and am well and truly converted from sony. The console is very well made and is extremley attractive to loook at. The wireless controllers are really confortable to use and absolutley fantastic for ultimate hassle free gaming. The Graphics capability of the console is very good and is rivaled to almost match that of the ps3.

On the games perspective i was not very impressed by the first wave of games released by microsoft seeing many of them on the pc. However from september there is a wave of xbox 360 games that are just god like. Exclusives such as dead rising, gears of war and saints row are being released very soon and look great. Having searched a gaming website i have so far found 20 MUST HAVE games for the console such as residenty evil 5, halo 3, GTA 4, and assassins creed plus many more that i cannot wait for.

If the massive selection of top notch games is not enough to convince you then just look at the accessories soon to be available. Micosoft have developed lots of interesting accessories such a camera, external HIGH DEFFINITION disk drive (for HD movies), wireless net capabilities and more. Not to mention xbox live in a review would be a crime as it is just so good. Before i was not convinced of it but having used it i have found it to be just amasing. I can play with my mates online, send text, picture and voice messages for free and even better can download demos, videos gamerpics and themes to really customise. Add this to the fact that you can link your xbox live account to your msn and you can link your gamerpic and stats to your "MY SPACE".

The xbox 360 really is a top notch gaming system with gorgous graphics, an amasing line up of games and some fantastic features. It really is a must for just about anyone, whether you like playing games or watching films. Also the soon to be released HD-DVD drive will make the xbox 360 a fully compatible system to play HD-DVD films and it will even actually cheaper than a standalone player. It really is fantastic.

a Game developers prospective on both consoles.!
review by: Anonymous rating:

Being a video game developer (I develop for both, Playstation 3 and XBOX 360) people ask me almost daily which platform I think is better. These are my personal feelings, in no way does this reflect my employer.

Short answer: XBOX 360.

Long answer: Price, performance, visual quality, game selection and online support. I think the XBOX 360 wins in every category.

Price: This is obvious; the XBOX 360 core is only £199. The PS3 is around £425 for the 60GB version. It comes with a hard drive, but you don’t need a hard drive to enjoy a lot of great games on the 360 so I think it’s fair to compare both core systems.

Performance: On paper, the PS3 is more powerful. In reality, it’s quite inferior to the 360. Without getting into too many details, the three general-purpose CPU’s the xbox360 has are currently FAR easier to take advantage of than the SPU’s on the PS3. I suspect a few years down the road some high budget, first party PS3 exclusive titles will come out that really take advantage of the SPU’s and do things the XBOX 360 can’t, but I don’t think the console is worth buying based on this speculation (for some it will be though, we'll have to wait and see how these games turn out).

Excellent Machine!!

I've had my 360 since they first came out now and its been absolutely flawless!! I use it to play games (Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Halo 2, Tomb Raider, Kameo etc etc), watch DVDs, and stream music and videos from my pc and it has even more functions which should be played with!!! It looks absolutely brilliant in hi-definition and its online functions are amazing, Xbox Live is the future!!! So many good games, videos, music and demos to download and more keep coming everyday!!! Waiting patiently for Street Fighter and Pacman in the Arcade!!! The 'Dashboard', which is the main screen on the machine which controls all the functions, is very user friendly, even my dog could use it!!! So if you haven't got one yet, buy one!!! Forget the PS3, at over £500 with no games it won't be worth it!!! I've read all the jargon about it and as far as I'm concerned there will be little difference between the two!!! So its X360 all the way!

The PS3
review by: Anonymous os: Not Applicable

Ok, look im not slagging off the PS3 or anything, because the PS3 is going to be good in its own way but after all the comparisons and reviews ive read shows that this console will be better than the PS3, not the same. Think about it, the 360 has 3 processors running at 3.2Ghz each, this gives alot more flexibility and the chance to process alot more data at one time to send off to the gfx card to be rendered this also means that the game developers may go to microsoft more as the coding is easier to work with on the 360 with the 3 CPUs, the PS3 however has 1 core processor which is smaller, yes it does have 7 internal DSPs but that doesnt excuse the fact that it's 1 processor at 3Ghz or whatever it is. Yes the Blue-ray is a crucial asset to the PS3 but because of the way it is built it will be excellent for media but perhaps not so brilliant for games. One thing i will always uphold to my opinion is that Xbox live is immense with online content and a gd community for games, it shall also be intergrated with Windows Vista allowing for a bigger community. Like i said i'm not here to slag off the PS3 or anyone but if you read about the hardware comparisons you would see what i mean. BTW the 360 rocks!

Fantastic

First off many thanks to Ebuyer for another fast delivery. The main reason I bought a 360 is the sheer quality of games that have been released and are due to be realeased soon, in particular Gears of War which looks absolutley stunning on a high def tv and sounds even better in 5.1. Two more reasons to buy this console are Rainbow Six Vegas and not forgetting Halo 3! The wireless controllers are a must in my opinion, and if thats not enough the premium also comes with a one month free subscription to xbox live. Microsoft have also just announced their video marketplace for the 360 which allows you to download movies and tv shows straight to your hard drive (most of them in high definition without the need for a HD DVD player). If this still hasn't convinced you, just buy one and you definitley wont be disappointed!

Look out for the console and gears of war bundle to be released soon.

A non fanboy appraisal

Good Points
Superb graphics and sound. Especially through a 5.1 sound system and a HDTV.

Excellent controllers - the best I've used.

Games. Gears of War, Rainbow Six Vegas, COD2, PGR3 are some of my personal favourites. There are many, many more good games. Halo 3 should be one to watch out for.

Xbox Live online gaming - works extremely well and adds a whole new dimension.

Integration with Windows PC's - stream media from your PC to your 360.

Cheaper than a PS3 and arguably has better graphics and a better architecture. Sites like arstechnica.com have looked at both in depth. Early PS3 games have frame rate issues not present on X360 versions.

Wireless network adaptor costs extra

Also I hear that a refresh to the console may be just around the corner. The new version will, if reports are to be believed, run a lot cooler (processors made on new 65nm process) and will have an HDMI connector for 1080p support on HDTV's. Hopefully reliability will improve as well.

I have bought every new console since the PS1 and I bought this machine without any major expectations as I was really waiting for the PS3.

How wrong I was! The 360 is the most exciting console I have bought, I really have to take my hat of to Microsoft they seem to have thought of everything a gamer could want and then thought of somethings on top!

I cant see how anyone could regret buying one of these!

Even if you are not a big gamer the ability to stream photo's and music stored on your PC and to control your music playlists and slideshow's from the comfort of your sofa with no wires around makes it a must have thing for sitting under your TV!

Have not been this happy with a games machine for decades!

And on top of that it can become a media center, talking to your pc streaming all your photo's, music and video's to your TV.

Show your holiday snaps while having your mp3 play in the background!

Ontop of that the games are amazing, i'm well chuffed!
