AegisSAN Q500 High-Performance SAN Solution

High Availability, Enterprise-class Features & Cost-effectiveness

Qsan Technology specialises in SAN storage arrays for SMBs and AegisSAN Q500 series is designed to provide dual active controllers, top-notch hardware configurations, fully modular components as well as the state-of-the-art add-on software functions. The reasonably priced SAN array offers both 10GbE/1GbE iSCSI and 16G/8G fibre channel interfaces to the hosts, supports both SATA and SAS drives and has 4U 24-bay, 3U 16-bay and 2U 12-Bay form factor options. The innovative hardware offload engine designs empower the system o deliver outstanding performance of IOPS and throughput.

Technologies

Hardware Offload Engine

AegisSAN Q500 system for both iSCSI and FC packets features hardware offload engine which adopts a dedicated CPU core to process the packets. With hardware offload engine enabled, the sequential read throughput can be dramatically more than 4.5 times faster, and the sequential write throughput will achieve over 1.5 times speed.

High Availability

The dual controllers in active/active mode, fully redundant and hot-swappable modules, cache mirroring and multi-path designs make AegisSAN Q500 series the storage system with true high availability for mission-critical applications. It also features extensive RAID array choices to secure the stored data. To satisfy the ever-growing business demands, AegisSAN Q500 delivers high scalability supporting up to 256 hard drives.

16G Fibre Channel

In response to the ever-increasing demands for greater storage capacity, more virtual machines and cloud deployments, the flagship model Q500-F30 adopts QLogic's latest 16G Fibre Channel silicon to double the bandwidth to the host, achieve faster transaction rates and maximise the performance potential for storage platforms and remain backward compatible with existing 4Gb and 8Gb FC infrastructure.

Lower Total Cost of Ownership

Designed to lower the total cost of ownership and enable increased availability and reliability, the AegisSAN Q500 array featuring Intel's newest low-power SoC is the world's first atom-based SAN solution with the benefits of increased energy efficiency. The USB LCM allows the storage system to avoid data leakage in data centers, lower TCO and enhance the manageability for IT administrators.

Value Add-ons

AegisSAN Q500 system supports comprehensive virtualization technologies including VMware VAAI, Citrix and Hyper-V. It provides QThin thin provisioning so that organizations can avoid allocated but unused storage, and it offers built-in QSnap for writeable snapshot and QReplica for remote replication. In addition, it's equipped with 80 plus gold PSU and battery backup module.
