Specs - AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT

In short, you can think of the new RX 6750 XT as a beefed-up version of the 6700 XT. While it's built on the same technology foundation as the standard 6700 XT, the new 6750 XT features an increased power requirement, which lets it reach a boost frequency that's higher than ever before.

For comparison, the 6750 XT has 40 Compute Units and 40 Ray Accelerators for real-time raytracing, as well as 96MB of low-latency Infinity Cache and 12GB of fast GDDR6 VRAM. These basic tech-specs are equal to the 6700 XT's tech-specs.

Power Consumption - AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT

However, while the 6700 XT is rated for a typical board power of 230W, the 6750 XT is rated for 250W using an 8-pin and an 6-pin power connector. To power an 6750 XT-equipped gaming PC, at minimum AMD recommends a 650W PSU. This heightened power requirement lets AMD amp up the 6750 XT's clocks across the board.

On AMD's reference model of the 6750 XT, the GPU reaches a boost frequency of up to 2,600MHz and a game frequency (expected GPU clock when in-game) of up to 2,495MHz. This is compared to the 2,581MHz boost frequency and 2,424 game frequency of the standard 6700 XT.

Memory bandwidth is upped too, up to 432 GB/s compared to 384 GB/s, for an effective memory bandwidth of up to 1,326 GB/s.

Form Factor - AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT

This power consumption isn't as much as an ultra-high-end graphics card like the 6950 XT which draws 335W, but nonetheless, it's quite a lot.

As such, you'll find that the majority of 6750 XTs at Ebuyer use a triple-fan cooling solution. This ensures maximum cooling potential so the 6750 XT can reach its fastest boost frequency, but a lengthy triple-fan cooler may not fit inside your computer case. So, before you buy any model of 6750 XT, double-check its length against your case's supported GPU dimensions.

If you're struggling to find a triple-fan 6750 XT that fits, Ebuyer also stocks a few dual-fan 6750 XTs. These cards are a great alternative if you're running a more compact mid-tower or even a small form-factor PC case, though less cooling potential may result in slightly less performance.

Performance - AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT

That's a lot of technical talk and figures, but how does the 6750 XT's performance stack up in a real-world scenario? To figure this out, let's look at some gaming benchmarks.

In this benchmark comparison provided by AMD, they compared the 6750 XT against the NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3070 with Resizable BAR (NVIDIA's equivalent of AMD Smart Access Memory) enabled quite favourably, matching or besting these cards in a range of games.

AMD Smart Access Memory, or SAM for short, combined the power of an AMD CPU and an AMD GPU for up to a 15% boost to gaming performance. You can learn more about SAM in our blog on the read more section below. SAM was enabled for these benchmarks as well.

Benchmarks - AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT

These AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT benchmarks were run at a 1440p resolution and a max graphics pre-set. Assassin's Creed Valhalla, a GPU-heavy open-world game, ran at an average of 90 FPS. For some context, the standard 6700 XT ran this game at 82 FPS, so the 6750 XT gets you a nice bump in performance.

In other single-player focused games, the 6750 XT achieved an average of 111 FPS in Horizon Zero Dawn, 125 FPS in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and 76 FPS in Watch Dogs Legion. For first-person shooters, Borderlands 3 ran at 86 FPS and DOOM eternal at 166 FPS. And for racing games, F1 2021 ran at 156 FPS and Forza Horizon 5 at 69 FPS.

AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT at Ebuyer

Ranking the performance of AMD's new cards (6650 XT, 6750 XT, and 6950 XT), the Radeon RX 6750 XT sits right in the middle, and it makes a great GPU upgrade for 1440p gaming at a high frame rate.
