Environmentally responsible

While the lightweight chassis is so convenient to carry around, it's the sustainable materials that make owning this machine a true delight. The ThinkPad T14 Gen 4 laptop is composed of 90% recycled magnesium on the C frame, and for the Storm Grey models, there's 55% recycled aluminium on the D cover. Along with post-consumer content, recycled plastic in the enclosures for the speaker and battery, and the AC adapter, the packaging is plastic-free with 90% recycled and/or sustainable materials. Plus, the manufacturing process uses low-temperature soldering.

Military-grade durability

We use the US Department of defence's MIL-STD 810H standards to create a balance of reliability and durability for our ThinkPad laptops. We test against 12 standards and more than 200 quality checks to ensure they run in extreme conditions. These tests cover harsh variables like Arctic wilderness and desert dust storms, including temperature, pressure, humidity, vibration, and more.
