Why do I need a large format printer?

One of the most impressive things about large format printers is that they can easily meet just about any need you can think of in the professional environment. Whether that means printing out (from a file on your PC or laptop) large-sized documents such as CAD drawings, designs, plans or blueprints, or even photographs, or whether it's to produce marketing and advertising materials such as posters and banners - plus a range of other possible uses. So, large format printers offer huge possibilities for use for both interior and exterior prints. Let's take a brief look at some of the most popular examples of large format signage.

Outdoor Posters

You've will almost certainly have seen these attention grabbing posters on bus shelters, mounted on the side of buildings and artwork on the side of buses.

Window Graphics

With large window graphics, everyone on the outside can see the message, while everyone on the inside can still see clearly to the outside, so you're creating advertising space from minimum space!

Pull-up / Retractable Banners

These signs can be used over and over again, and in different locations, so they provide outstanding value for money. Perfect for conferences, exhibitions, trade fairs and a wide range of other one-off events.

A1 large format printers at Ebuyer

Essentially, an A1 large format printer can print upon any large media with a maximum width of 24 inches. A1 is four times the size of A3, so it's just about the perfect size for mid-level marketing materials such as the sort of posters or displays you might find in internal environments - gig venues, café bars, community hubs, shops, educational establishments, and so on.

Despite their size and ability to print large documents, large format printers do not compromise on quality and, surprisingly, they are extremely efficient. It's worth noting that there are different types of large format A1 printers available, which will have a bearing on the finished result you're looking to achieve. For example, graphics printers are used for high quality design work or photo quality displays. There are also large format printers which are geared towards more technical applications (such as CAD). Plotter printers are more often used by the architectural and building industires to produce high quality line drawings, architectural plans and blueprints.
