Those lost hours waiting pensively for your phone to charge may be a thing of the past, with the invention of a 30-second battery charger.
An Israeli start-up has unveiled a prototype charger that claims to fully boost your device’s battery in less than a minute.

The StoreDot charger uses biological semiconductors, made from naturally occurring organic compounds, to supercharge a device hundreds of times quicker than a standard battery-charger combination.
Nanotechnology in the prototype charger is believed to be able to recharge a smartphone in 30 seconds, cutting down on time and electronic waste.
Store Dot believe their batteries, when fully developed, will charge a device to 100% far faster than lithium ion packs in current mobile devices.
The battery itself is made primarily of biological materials, utilising crystals only 2 nanometers thick.
The long-lasting packs can withstand thousands of charge/discharge cycles, extending the life expectancy of batteries far longer than its lithium ion predecessors.
Although the prototype charger is currently about the size of a laptop charger, the Tel Aviv based company says it will be reducing the size so it’s comparable to modern chargers in the future.
StoreDot are confident the end result will be a small unit that’s easily portable. Amazingly, the expected price of this wonder-battery will only be around the £20 mark, double that of a standard charger but hundreds of times faster than the current crop.
