Inventor Kyx Mendiola tried out the single-seater electric passenger drone in front of a crowd. Mendiola partnered with an Australian electric vehicle company to create the 16-rotor drone.
Now this really does look like something out of the sci fi movies. And who wouldn’t want to have an electric passenger drone parked in their garage? No more worries about traffic jams when you’re nipping down the the shops. Just fly over the queues.
Of course if we all get one of these it’ll be absolute carnage. They’ll be more downed aircraft than during The Battle of Britain.
But it’ll be fun to play at being The Jetsons for a while.
The single-seater aircraft can fly for up to 15 minutes at a time. So it might get you to the shops but probably only half way back again.
