The ‘information that needs to be accessed instantly’ refers to such things as loading up files, accessing running programs or editing documents. It’s also the capacity of the RAM that is responsible for how smooth your PC will be running.

It’s all about speed

As we mentioned above, you may be tempted to focus all of your energy on other components to enhance your gaming experience. But now that you know what PC memory is you’ll probably be starting to see why it’s so important.

The size of your RAM will directly impact whether your PC is slow and difficult to operate or slick and speedy. This is because of the size, generally meaning that the larger your RAM is the faster it can access the data you ask of it.
