NVIDIA has released an exciting new series of graphics cards, and here at Ebuyer we’re all fired up for it! In this video, guest-presenter GeekaWhat looks at the MSI RTX 3080 Ventus 3X card to highlight some of its features and explains why you need this card if you’re serious about your gaming.
About the MSI RTX 3080 Ventus 3X graphics card
Based on NVIDIA’s Ampere architecture, this is one of the brand’s flagship cards and it’s the ideal choice for super-high frame rate 1440p / 60fps. It’s perfect for those high-octane action-packed 4K titles.
The RTX 3080 utilises ray tracing, which means the card will ‘reimagine’ the way light is processed in games. RT technology works by tracing the paths of light from their source. This means that reflections and shadows in games are extremely realistic, which leads to a much more immersive experience for the gamer.
When combined with DLSS, the RTX 3080 is a force to be reckoned with. DLSS is an AI-powered resolution scaling technology which gives you the higher frame-rates you’d find at a lower resolution but, impressively, keeps the visual fidelity of 4K or 1440p.
The stylish look of the card is fantastic, with the Ventus 3X cooling design. A two-and-a-half slot cooling form factor helps to keep temperatures low, alongside MSI’s TORX fan technology, so your system should be pretty inaudible as well as keeping your GPU nice and cool. A full-length metal backplate helps to prevent GPU sag.
The RTX 3080 also supports MSI’s Afterburner technology, which allows you to push your graphics even further. You can buy the RTX 3080 either as a standalone card from Ebuyer, or already installed as part of one of AlphaSync’s pre-built systems.
