What is a power bank portable charger?

Don’t have a plug socket handy? That’s not a problem if you have a power bank portable charger. With power at the drop of a hat, all those messaging sessions, business calls, scrollings through social media and work on the go can continue uninterrupted.

These small and seemingly nondescript boxes with USB ports might not look like much, but they can carry enough extra power to recharge a laptop several times over. There’s no way around it: If you regularly carry a lot of devices with you and want them to make it through a whole day, you’ll probably need a portable charger.

A power bank phone charger which comes with multiple leads to connect to multiple devices at once means that multitasking has never been easier. Some power banks can handle up to half a dozen devices at the same time. Of course, the more devices a power bank can charge the more expensive it’s likely to be, but there are lots of affordable options which will cost you less than a sandwich and coffee at your local café!

There’s nothing worse than running out of power when you’re in the middle of something, and whether you need a power bank charger for your iPhone, smartphone, tablet or other USB device, you’ll find a device to give you that extra boost to keep your gadgets going. And models come in all colours and shades to match your other gadgets.

With our increasing use of battery powered equipment, power banks are commonplace. Everything from mobile phones to battery powered headphones, portable speakers, fitness bands, speakers and MP3 players can be charged via a power bank. They are effectively a portable charger. All they need is a USB charging interface and you’re ready to go!

Wireless charging power banks have also been introduced for those devices that can be charged wirelessly. They provide total convenience.

Cable options and power bank chargers

There are various cable options available so you can pick a mobile phone power bank charger that works seamlessly with everything in your tech collection. Not only can you charge all your own devices, but you can charge up those belonging to your family and friends too!

If you have a portable pack that has capacity for six full charges, you can go on a week’s holiday without taking power-worries with you! They’re handy for all those summer festivals and camping trips (hopefully coming soon) and a whole load of other trips too. We’d advise you to choose one with a percentage display as this means you’ll be able to know exactly where you stand.

Power bank portable chargers are particularly useful as they enable battery powered items to be charged on the go. As it is not always possible to reach a mains power point every time a mobile phone or other battery powered item needs charging, these power banks are really useful, especially when travelling.

Match the charge capacities

One of the most important points to consider when buying or selecting a power bank is the capacity required. Think about what needs to be charged because a tablet takes more than a smartphone, and so on. Also, some smartphones require more charge than others. To find out, take a look at your smartphone specification. The battery capacity will be given under the battery area.

Portable phone chargers

Anyone who has a mobile lives in constant feat or power running out – it has become an essential part of modern living! There are many, many types of portable mobile chargers and they are really cheap these days.

How can you tell if a portable charger is compatible with your phone? Well, as long as your phone recharges with a USB cable, you’ll be fine. Portable chargers are designed to be hardware agnostic, so you don’t have to worry about whether your devices will work.

Portable laptop charger

Laptop chargers are not as prevalent as power banks for mobile phones and tablets and some are too big or too heavy to carry with you or truly be called ‘portable’. Many people just go to a café and paying for a cup of coffee or charge at an airport or a train station when they’re travelling.

However, if you do find one that works for you, it’s definitely worth it for the convenience. The best portable laptop chargers are some of the most useful gadgets for digital nomads and remote workers. Look for a lightweight model, with multiple laptop connectors.
