WORCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

LOCAL AUTHORITY SINCE 1889

Who are Worcestershire County Council?

Worcestershire County Council is a local authority which serves the population of the non-metropolitan county of Worcestershire in the West Midlands. It was originally created in 1889, though there was no computer technology available at the time. These days, of course, there is – and Ebuyer is proud to have a great relationship with the Council.

Where does Ebuyer fit in?

Peta Cording, from the Council, describes how having Jo Birkett as their dedicated Account Manager at Ebuyer has helped the local authority serve the public efficiently.

“Jo really gets to know your company and works to your needs. From sourcing the goods that you are looking for right through to the end of the purchasing process with invoicing. All of this close care reduces the time I have to spend chasing deliveries and invoices.”

Up to the challenge

Making sure that an administrative body like a County Council is fully serviced in terms of its IT requirements has its challenges, but Peta knows Ebuyer is up to the task. “During lockdown, it has been an extremely busy time. But with Jo’s attention, and the company’s efficiency at processing orders so quickly, and with delivery on such a short lead time, it’s been so much easier. I don’t think this could have been achieved so effectively with any other company.”

Jo says: “Local government is an area which particularly requires an efficient service, because it’s public funding and the population requires every penny to be well spent. So I’m always happy to go the extra mile – for any customer, but especially for Worcestershire County Council.”
