How much does a computer case cost?

Computer cases perform a crucial function when it comes to the protection of your tech, keeping dust, liquids and other contaminants out, as well as cooling your system down. While all PC cases carry out this role, they vary considerably in price, in line with the size and specifications that you need - for example, a mini ITX case is likely to be cheaper than a full tower case.

If you're simply looking for a basic external case, you can opt for one of our budget chassis, which start from as little as £15. We also stock a collection of high-end PC cases in a variety of designs, which are perfect if you want to house your computer in something more sophisticated.

What comes with a computer case?

While you'll have to purchase the majority of your PC parts separately, some computer cases are likely to come with a selection of components pre-installed. Standard chassis might be equipped with sheet metal enclosures for your drive bays and power supply unit, as well as the power supply itself, which is mounted just inside the back of the case.

As well as this, you may find that certain cases already have cooling fans installed so it's important to check that existing parts like this match the specifications and size of your system. Can't see the parts you need included with your case? Browse our full selection of computer components today and make sure you're not missing anything.

How big are full tower cases?

As the largest kind of computer chassis on the market, full tower cases are both weighty and sizeable. Dimensions vary greatly between brands, but the average height and depth for a tower case is around 22" by 8".

In terms of interior dimensions, a full tower will always support a motherboards with an ATX form factor, which measures in at 12" by 9.6", leaving you plenty of extra room to figure out cooling methods or other additional hardware. You'll usually get room for at least 10 drive bays too, although the size of these differs between brands too.

To find the perfect case for your pc, you can filter by size using the subcategory feature on the left-hand side of this page.
