Really, REALLY cheap. I mean god... how?

Haven't tried the analogue outputs but can't see what could be wrong with them and therefore would recommend the card to anyone with that requirement.

Lots of capability and compatibility for it's price via third party drivers.

Not recommended if you want to use SPDIF to communicate with a multi channel amplifier.

After some research I've concluded that only stereo (2 channel PCM audio) can be sent over SPDIF, the technical reason being that it doesn't have a multichannel digital encoder. Such encoding takes a lot of processing power, hence why capable sound processors have heatsinks, and it's not routinely emulated through software. If I'm mistaken, please let me know! Looks like I'm leaving Pro Logic II enabled on my amp until I can afford a better card!

The sound card slotted into the PC and the phono ports worked properly as soon as the correct driver was downloaded and installed.

It took a long time to get the digital optical ports to work on this which I had bought it for and with the standard driver they remained disabled. It appears this is a common issue with these chipsets and I managed to locate a 3rd party website where they make drivers for this chipset, specifically to get around this problem and after installing these the card worked and even had more features.
