Great Drive

Windows XPI have had this drive in my machine for 2 weeks now and I feel that this must be the best drive on the market at the moment!
The SATA interface really does reduce clutter in the case and the speed in which I can create disks is amazing.
The front is true black and is a perfect colour match! it goes well with my black tower.
The front of the tray does not have the SAMSUNG name on it like the pic, the front of the case has "Writemaser" printed on it.
The cd tray is sturdy and the open button is positive
The drive is near silent quite writing at 18X DVD, I copied a 4.8gb in just over 5 mins which is excellent.
OEM / RETAIL
OEM means - Original Equipment Manufacturer, this really means the piece of equipment comes in its basic state without manuals and software let alone leads, suprisingly it comes with nero.
RETAIL - (thats self explanatory)
Oh and Ebuyer have kindly writen Bare Drive as well as OEM in their description.

XP & Vista both reconised the DVD drive on OS install, havn't had to install any drivers. Quick Reading & Writing. Not too loud, quiter than any drive I'v ever had.
Came with no cables or software, just plain OEM drive, its a great system builders drive.

Windows XPThis drive is fast, amazingly quiet, and even though it's OEM you get Nero 7 with it!
Everything you could want from an OEM DVD writer and more!
Don't forget though this is a SATA drive and requires a SATA power connector as well as data cable ;)

Perfect Drive for my HTPC

Windows VistaI bought this drive for my Media PC and I'm glad I did. Samsung has a utility that you can download from their site. It forces the DVD to run significantly slower than its top speed. The slower it runs the less noise it makes. You really don't need a DVD player to spin at top revs to read a film.

The drive itself is shorter than most others so you should have no trouble fitting it into a small case. The bezel is black as is the tray which works well with black and silver boxes.
Good drive at a good price

Not ApplicableThis drive is quicker and quiter than several I've used.
Mine came with a copy of Nero 7.
Being OEM, it was shipped in just a plastic bag (no cables etc.), I was a bit concerned though that ebuyer placed it in the bottom of a large box, and didn't provide any protective padding etc. around it.
Excellent sata dvd drive

I was not expecting any software with it and was very suprised it came with nero which is very useful with programes such as dvdshrink. This is a must for upgrade, system builder or a aditional drive. Bargin at price 5++

Windows VistaExtremely sleek in my Stacker-830 case it blends right in. Extremely fast haven't wrote anything to DVD's yet but when I do im sure I wont be disappointed!
