Couple of guys at work have the V1 version with TomTom6 on and they've been fine, so I decided to purchase one myself (was using a HP PDA + Bluetooth GPS Receiver0 ... When I came on to eBuyer to buy it, I noticed they had V2 which had the new chipset and the bluetooth/FM built in, so I ordered one

Arrived on Tuesday and seemed fine, did a full charge in the car (charged very quick) and started playing. I put TomTom7 on with the latest UK/Ireland map and it worked a treat after a little tweaking. So a defo thumbs up from me!

3 things to note!

1) My car mount was broken when it arrived, so logged an RMA and eBuyer told me this is a known issue, and sent me one out within 2 days, which was great!

2) There are two ways to switch it off. Press and hold the power button for 1-2 secs put it into sleep mode, press and hold power button for 5 secs switches it fully off, however when I do this it resets the date/time so i'm just putting it into sleep mode and it all works spot on

3) You get a 1GB SD card with this, but it isn't great, so purchase a Sandisk or other make 1GB/2GB SD card as it'll run slightly quicker off one of these

All said and done, works great and very happy with it!

Just received on of these with sat-nav, bluetooth and FM. After reading through loads of reviews, I decided this is the best for the value of money.

I needed this device for:

1 - GPS navigation

2 - Playing mp3 on my car sterio (via FM)

3 - Handsfree for my mobile.

On arrival I immediately installed TT6 as per the reviews, this workes as expected. FM works and Bluetooth works. the range is not much though.

It also charges pretty quickly.

the only major drawback that I encountered is that I cannot play music while using GPS - the music player does not works in the background :-( therefore one utility is gone.

There are other minor problems - switching this unit off resets the date/time. and the car mount seems quite flimsy.

If anybody can suggest way to use music player along with GPS it would be great.

Navigo 3.5" Sat Nav V2 PLUS

I purchesed this having used a Garmin sat nav for the past 2 years. This model has more functions but is not as user friendly as the Garmin. For example you cannot just put in a town name and navigate there, you need to put in a street name as well, if you haven't got a street name or post code, tough luck!

Tomtom7?
review by: Anonymous os: Not Applicable

Can these units be used with Tomtom7 like the standard Navigo units with out Bluetooth or FM Radio?

Can you use the bluetooth like you would on a standalone tomtom unit that had bluetooth included?

why Tomtom

Why would you want to put Tom tom on it?

I have the cheaper version of this unit and it's brilliant as it is.

Bluetooth Question
review by: Anonymous os: Not Applicable

I guess the bluetooth supports at least the basic headset profile (HSP).

Can anyone say whether the bluetooth on this device also supports stereo audio streaming profile (A2DP) routed to the FM transmmitter so it can be used to listen to tracks from a suitable MP3 phone on the car stereo? Or can you only listen to MP3 tracks from the satnav device itself?

It should be arriving today, I have TT7 ready to be installed (after backing up turboDog software which is cool with the 3D Building Graphics).

I'll let you know soon on how TT7 installs and runs.
