what bearing type is this
Is this the double ball bearing version of tricool?
Fan-Tastic
operating system:
Windows XPBrillient lil fans, near silent, and as stated comes with a removable adapter that allows it to run off of molex 4-pin or 3-pin board control (or case control)
Also has a 3 setting switch for low mid and hi speed, which i think only comes into play if ur using the molex plug, not sure though.

Crazy speeds

Windows XPBoth the fans i bought are very quiet and do a good job at sucking.. air that is! But my system moniter keeps popping up as both frequently report speeds in excess of 99999 revs! So I'm forced to switch off the system moniter program when playing games and that is why they only get 4 stars.
Nice Fan

Windows XPNice and quiet on the medium setting, seems to resonate a little on my case at full speed but it really pushes the air through.
Hit and near miss

Not ApplicableI bought and installed 2 of these. One fan operates almost silently, even on full power all you can hear is the rush of air leaving the machine. The second fan is much noisier, I removed the fan and when detached from the machine on full power doesn't make a sound, but when installed as an intake fan it resonates on all speed settings. Low/Medium speed is tolerable, high speed is really annoying, partly because the exhaust fan is so quiet even on high speed.
Having said all that my machine is still quieter and cooler than before, and to be fair the fan sucks/blows 20CFM even on the lowest setting.
I think that some acoustic dampening screws/washers would have been a nice liitle extra to have with this package. 5 stars for the quiet fan, 3 stars for the noisier fan.
