The basic function is to transmit remote video over your IP network. The high quality video image can be transmitted at up to 30fps on a LAN or WAN by using MJPEG hardware compression technology.
The camera is controlled via a built-in Web server which supports Internet Explorer. Management and maintenance of the camera is simple; remote configuration, start-up and firmware upgrades can all be done via Web browser, over your network.

Brilliant!!
operating system:Windows 7The documentation is pretty poor but you can go on to the storage options website and download a better manual to help you set it up.
Install the software from the CD and then find the camera, I changed the IP address to suit my system then simply mapped the port 81 to the ip of the camera in my router (you only need to do this to view outside your network).
At first the picture was pretty bad until I noticed that it has a focus ring..doh..twisting that I got the focus nice and sharp and allowing for mjpeg compression the picture is nice and clear.
The outdoor setting isnt very good, I just left it on indoor and tweaked the brightness and contrast to suit. You can view it in a web browser or use the supplied software which gives you the ability to record and set up alarms and what not. Another nice feature is the camera will automatically pan and tilt in a scanning motion up or across!
The pan and tilt works brilliant, you can set the speed at which it does this between 1 and 10, you can also set pre-sets 1-10 which is nice if you want to jump to different views.
It all works great inside my network however support for the mjpeg stream wasn't great on my android phone web browser(not the phones fault), so I downloaded a specific web cam app from the Android market place its called IP CAM Viewer, set the camera up in there and it works like a charm, pan and tilit works by dragging your finger across the screen, you can use the free version with adverts or get the pro one for 6 quid, its a no brainer for 6 quid, go pro.
The other thing is that you cant turn off the IR LEDS they are controlled via a light sensor, its not a problem unless you intend to use the camera at night through glass as the IR will reflect off the glass, there may be a way around this please post if someone knows.
You can use this camera hard wired or through wireless, to use wireless you need to go to the options link from the web browser, it didn't find my wireless network when I did the scan so i simply manually entered in the details and it worked fine after a reboot, there is no noticeable difference in frame rate or quality when using it wireless, a good tip is try your wireless access point on different channels, I did this and the speed increased quite a bit. You can use your android or I phone to see what wireless points are near to you and select a channel away from them.
All in all this is a wonderful camera and I really must get another!! so glad I took a punt on this unit, you wont get anything near this for the money at the moment, highly recommend it!!

I recieved this cam the other day. it comes supplied with different mounting brackets and screws etc.

The camera comes with a host of options configurable from the desktop program or by the camera itself.
the image can be inverted so the camera can be mounted upside down. I recieved about 15 fps wired, and about 7-10fps wireless.
It can be set to send a series of pictures via email when it senses motion (the sensitivity can be adjusted) resolutions: 160x120, 320x240, 640x480, - 50 or 60 hrtz
It also has microphone and speaker built in, so you can listen in around the camera and also speak through it.
you can also set regular times to begin/stop recording, or have it start when sensing motion. you can save a postition of the camera as a number, and have it "cruise" through these presets. EG: 20 seconds watching preset location 1, then pan round to view location 2 for another 20 seconds, then 3 etc.
To wirelessly access your camera (after setting it up wired first) open a browser and type in the IP address for it, EG: http://192.168.1.7:81 The ":81" at the end is the port number.
Storage options have already supplied access to your camera from the internet, and the address is on a silver label on the box. EG: http://aafstx.ipcam.hk/ - the address is unique to your camera.
If this doesnt work for you, remember the port number and ip address you set it to, as you may need to put that into your router port forward settings should you have problems. I was new to this and a quick read at http://portforward.com/help/portforwarding.htm gave me the basics to type into the router settings.
Gmail DOES work for me, I opened an account specifically for the camera. Settings on the camera (via http: access) are:
sender: your gmail account
reciever: whatever email account you want
SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
port 25
START TLS
then your login details. SET first, then press test.
Took me a little while to figure this all out, hope this info saves other ppl who are new to networking some time.
I would recomend this cam, its great when its all set up!

operating system:Windows 7Great camera for £69.99. The instructions are pretty basic but as a novice PC user myself this was easy. The software guides you through in simple steps and I had my camera working in less than 2 mins!
Excellent picture quality and great to use on my iPhone too.
