OEM System Licences from Ebuyer

Microsoft OEM software licences were previously only available to developers and system builders but now anyone can obtain a personal use licence.

Personal use licences

So what is a Microsoft OEM personal use licence? If you are building your own computer, which is strictly for personal use, you can purchase a licence. However, the licence is only valid for Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro software. Earlier versions of Microsoft's operating systems, such as Windows 7, are not covered and if you choose to use that OS you must purchase the full retail product.

System builders licences

Manufacturers and commercial producers that build and distribute computers can purchase OEM licences for their products. These special licences enable manufacturers to sell their systems with Windows pre-installed.

Latest versions

It is easy to ensure your systems have the very latest version of Windows as Ebuyer always stocks the very latest licences. However, if you prefer an earlier version, we also have those licences available too.
