Thumbs Despite
operating system:
Windows XPFor the price what a great piece of kit. OK came without software but once Ebuyer sent link for it I cannot complain. The upstairs PC is getting a stronger signal than downstairs laptop which makes me think time to invest in another one.

drivers to use
operating system:
Windows XPIve got one of these today, downloaded the railink rt2500 drivers, link below, very very stable and good utility.

Wow ....... what a great product.
operating system:
Windows XPI was very weary about buying this product because it was so cheap. I ordered two and What a great Adapter. I used it in a two bedroom house with the router downstairs and pc upstairs and its reporting a 88% signal strenth even with the adapter fitted at the back of the pc under a desk.
Easy install, good software and great quality.
Vista 64bit
operating system:
Windows VistaTo get this working with vista 64bit you have to plug the adapter into the usb.Browse the disc and find vista folder and it will install the correct driver.Don't bother installing the WA-T1 wireless software from the disc as it is unsupported with any vista.Vista network wizard works just fine.
Works with Fedora 8
operating system:
LinuxManaged to install this in a Fedora 8 PC, connecting to my Netgear DG834 Wireless Router. Getting a really good throughput of 34Mbs with the router 100 ft away in a house behind a sofa and the PC in a log cabin.
Need to install using NDISWRAPPER using the .inf file on the driver disk.
Works unencrypted and with WEP but not yet with WPA - I am working on this though!
Very pleased with it!
Switching the Utility off
There are 2 ways:
1] Copy the driver folder off the CD and point to it when Windows find the device. If you have already installed, you will need to uninstall
OR
2] Double click on the Windows Wireless icon - it will state that it can not be used because another program is in use.
Click on the 'Advanced Settings' link on left window.
Put tick into Use Windows Zero Config mode.
Add the link and WEP in this screen (Add & properties).
Important: You now have to go to Start - Programs - Start Up and delete the utility from your start up folder. If you do not do this, it will reinstall itself on reboot.
It DOES work with WPA2
operating system:
Windows XPGreat product for the price.
You MUST use the CD supplied to load the Drivers and Software. It will prompt you to plug in the adapter. I then re-booted and it opened the configuration utility which on the Site Survey Tab has checkboxes. You MUST de-select the "Display 802.11b Access Points for it to enable WPA and WPA2 configuration.
As a bonus, it comes with a USB extension cable.
Excellent
operating system:
Windows XPExcellent product and so is the price. Bought 2 and they pick up the signal very well. the additional cable is handy to move the usb to a more suitable location and to allow for a better signal
Works with Vista 64bit
As the title says.
It was a simple install in Vista and it works very well, the only problem is the non-certification which comes up every time you boot. Doesn't appear to stop it working though.
Good, cheap bit of kit.
Works with Vista Ultimate 64 Bit
Works fine now!!Had Problems at first re-installing drivers/rebooting and then downloaded latest drivers from Tenda as advised in other review. You need to go to command prompt and run as administrator, disable vista tcp autotuning and set mtu for each device you are using on your network.Follow these links-http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/vistaMTU.htm and http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/vistaTCPtweaks.htm My isp is Tiscali and had to set mtu=1440 for wireless network connection and local area connection
