Product Description
The D-Link Wireless N Router (DIR-615) provides a better wireless signal for your network than existing wireless 802.11g technology. Upgrading your home to Wireless N provides an excellent solution for sharing an Internet connection and files such as video, music, photos, and documents. D-Link Wireless N products use Intelligent Antenna technology to transmit multiple streams of data which enable you to receive wireless signals in the farthest corners of your home. Not only does D-Link's Wireless N technology extend your wireless range, it also works with your existing 802.11g and 802.11b wireless devices.Product Reviews

operating system:
Windows XPAlthough i didnt buy this from ebuyer i wish i did as it is cheaper on here!
New to wireless networking as i have never had the need to but now the pc is in a different room in the new hous to where the router is. The old Belkin router wasnt providing enough of a signal and the internet was slow.
After installing the router (easy for a novice using the setup cd that comes with the product) signal is much improved and the internet is better than ever before.
I didnt want to spend a lot of money but wanted to get a wireless n product if possible so this D-Link one seemed perfect.
Absolutely brilliant and well worth the little extra i spent to get it instead of a 108mbps router.
Strongly recommend!
operating system:
Windows 2000I was able to connect this up to my desktop (win2000pro), my laptop (winXP) and my Wii within about 10 minutes. Would strongly recommend this product. Be sure to select a secure wireless network during setup as its not easy to go back and change this afterwards, i just reinstalled it. great peice of kit for the price.
Works on Virgin Media
"It'll be really comforting for us novices to learn which broadband provider you had a successful installation with this product, as I am looking for something that will definitely work with my Virgin Media broadband.
Your info will be a great relief to one's ears."
- I have this on Virgin media cable and it runs just fine, despite the numerous glitches in their service!
MAC address
You can't change the MAC address of a Network card, as every address is unique. You can however clone the MAC address of your computer's Network card into the router, so that the router will forward the PCs MAC address instead of the router's MAC address to the ISP. This can help if the ISP you use requires a specific MAC address for your IP.
amazing!!
operating system:

operating system:
Windows XPFirst time I have set-up a wireless router and it was really simple. Used the 'Quick Start' CD and it was up and running in minutes. Would recommend this router. Also very good price.....
Excellent Router
operating system:
Windows VistaI have been using this router for about a year now - originally on a Virgin Cable connection (which was setup and working in 5 mins - although I did then spend about an hour fiddling around to suit my specific needs - but to just get on the web should take 5 mins), and now as a router connected to my Sky ADSL sagem modem/router (I have set it up to just pass everything to the DLink - so I didnt have to redo all the NAT and firewall settings :)).
Being an N I have found my G devices are more stable - they arent any quicker but they are stronger and dont seem to slow as much as previous.
I would highly recommend this to anyone.
Not half bad
operating system:
Windows XPTook a while to set up but i didn't believe the "set up in minutes" claim anyway.
Has run perfectly since!
Poor Under Load
operating system:
Windows XPI bought the N version specifically as I wanted maximum bandwidth, as I backup my PC over wireless to an Ethernet based backup drive, connected via a cable.
Whenever I start the backup process it causes all the PC's to randomly lose Internet connection every few minutes.
Very annoying!
Just a Question to both reviewers - Can you say which was your broadband provider?
It'll be really comforting for us novices to learn which broadband provider you had a successful installation with this product, as I am looking for something that will definitely work with my Virgin Media broadband. <br />
