Excellent speakers, worth every penny

Windows XPThese are really excellent speakers for the money, the bass is astounding. They are VERY loud!! The 8" 120W subwoofer is pretty big (11"x11"x15") and loud enough to knock pictures off walls without any hint of distortion even at full volume. The speakers are great as well, 40W each with 2.5" drivers and are about 7" tall.
Great build quality, the wired remote is really handy with volume and bass controlls, a headphone socket and a power switch. As far as connections go they only have a headphone style 3.5mm jack for connecting to a standard sound card but there is an adaptor for connecting to a dvd or cd player etc.
No problems with them whatsoever, the only slight niggles are that the speakers bases are fixed and so the direction of them cannot be altered and the wires going into the speakers are not replacable as they are fixed in, but the wires they come with are thick and certainly adequate.
I bought these elsewhere because ebuyer did not have any in stock.
All in all they are wonderfull speakers providing clear, full and undistorted sound at any volumes, loads of power and tonnes of bass.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.
SIMPLY OUTSTANDING - OUT OF THIS WORLD

Windows XPNow these are my new power toys and WOW they pack a punch, The Bass can be turned off (someone said below it couldn't) - let me start off with a little warning - It is VERY hesvy so watch your back but once setup these beasts are no questions asked... THX Certified they are the best I have ever had and are worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY. They can go a bit OTT on volume and bass they are that good :)
In the box is a conponent audio cable (red and white) for use on other things too and the wired remote has a blue LED on it with a big volume wheel and a small bass one - also is the on and off switch and the headphone jack.
Overall these speakers are the best I ever had...
I would of got the 5.1 Z 5300 but i didnt want the extra wires around my room got too many as it is.

Absolutely awesome

Windows XPI recieved these yesterday and after a run-in period i can say these are superb. I read reviews on Z3-e saying the bass was OTT however after equalising i found the bass to be pitched just perfectly with the midrange. Coupled with a decent soundcard they produce crystal clear sound with punchy bass. I tested them on a techno track which my mates 10" kenwood slaughtered by rumbling through. This pumped out every beat faultlessly.
Every element of the system are very well built and the wired remote has a reassuring 'chunky' feel. The blue power LED looks good against the silver. It is a good looking system all round and the THX logo on the speaker grills sets it all of nicely.
The speaker cables are a bit short at 6' but for my set up they are fine. The supplied minijack to phono adapter is great if you want to use the system with a games console or for other AV sources.
In conclusion: couple with a decent sound card, spend time positioning the sub, prepare to never want to turn these speakers down!

Windows XPMy speakers just arrived today after the usual speedy ebuyer service, and I am very impressed.
The first thing which you really notice about these is the size of the sub, its f'in massive. Not mention damn heavy. After I got them all plugged in and set up the first thing i did was put on some NIN on and turned the bass right up, the floor literally started shaking, then I noticed the volume was only around 50% :O
Needless to say they are not only very big but also very clever, producing perfect sound even in very complex pieces of music.
I also tested them with a bit of heavy metal (specifically Lamb of God) and thought I was going to orgasm. The relentless bass drum kicking sounds 100 times better than I have ever heard it, and Ive seen them live.
The next test will be Battlefield 2 but I am in no doubt these speakers will be able to handle it with no difficulty whatsoever.
5 stars, buy these if you dont have the space for a 4.1+ set up, you wont regret it.
EXCELLENT SPEAKERS, GREAT SOUND & GOOD QUALITY

Mac OSXI have had these speakers for a week hooked up to my powerbook using itunes and they are great. I considered others (the Harman Kardon Soundsticks II which are funky and a friend has some) but went for these for the extra power and wired remote. I am very satisfied with this choice. The bass is controllable and the speakers crystal clear. I recommend them. Delivery was faster than ebuyer suggested by two days too, which was a real bonus!!

Windows XPThese seakers pack a powerful punch. The base is superb and they are loud enough for anybody, they will make the walls in your home vibrate, they are excellent value for money. The only 'problem' is that the subwoofer is quite large, if you have plenty of room then this won't matter. If you need a set of speakers for your PC, you will definately not regret buying these, they are superb!!

Windows XPThese speakers are great , I was a bit dubious about buying these but after reading the previous reviews I bit the bullet and bought them . I was definately not disappointed , turn the volume up and the floor and walls vibrate . the wired control is really handy . The sub is big but you can't expect this kind of sound from a small box .

Windows XPWhat can I say, these speakers are amazing!!! Anybody who loves there music should own a set of these. The sound quality is absolutely breathtaking, and no doubt will impress you every time you listen to them. The bass is seperately controlled and produces thunderous sound, depending on how loud you want to have them, and believe me, they are loud and the clarity of the sound is spot on. Do not listen to any negative reviews on these, just buy them and prepare to be impressed.

Not ApplicableWhat can I add ? The depth of sound from the bass unit is incredible - I bought this to replace my redundant Acoustic Research speakers which cost £650 15 years ago - the depth of bass from them is surpassed by this bass unit. If you want pure sound quality from your mp3's on your pc then you cant go far wrong with these. My neighbours, however, beg to differ.

Windows XPOk lets put this into perspective. If you want amazing surround sound for movies and such then these 2.1 speakers are probably not what you are looking for (even though they are THX certified). However if you want a truely great set of speakers for music and games then these are superb.
I bought these as my old Sony Hi-Fi had reached the end of its lifespan and I had already ripped most of my large CD collection to my PC. I decided that as I didnt really listen to much radio and as I have no cassettes anymore a big HiFi wasn't the answer. I have a Soundblaster Live card in my PC so knew I could get great playback from that.
These speakers are amazingly good for music. The quality of playback is really high and using a player like MS Media Player you can get the sound exactly as you like it. The sound (and especially the bass) is awesome on games like Need For Speed Underground and Battlefield.
Movie playback is good but you would need 5.1's to get a satisfying surround sound (obviously).
There are some reviews that say that you lose the mid range on music. Thats nonsense. These are the closest thing I have heard to actual recording studio speaker setups. Everything is in its right place and you can really make out every instrument. As long as you have ripped music to 256kb and have a decent soundcard (I would suggest anything but on-board sound) then let it rip.
Oh by the way, dont put it up more than halfway or you will probably be threatened with an ASBO.
