It is designed to provide quick and easy access to the 7 Type A downstream ports to connect to peripherals with USB 2.0 support, other USB hubs and devices. A single Type B upstream port is provided to connect to the host computer, or another USB hub. Configured directly by the operating system, the DUB-H7 operates seamlessly with both Microsoft's OpenHCI, Intel's Universal HCI and USB 2.0 new generation specification EHCI.
As a standard USB hub, it buffers USB data from any attached peripherals or devices in compliance with USB specification versions 1.1 and 2.0 to provide an invisible extension of the USB bus. Supporting both low-speed 1.5Mbps devices, full-speed 12Mbps devices and high-speed 480Mbps, each port creates a bridge between the peripheral and host computer.

Excellent Item
operating system:Not ApplicableI brought one of these a couple of years ago when i was running XP Professional, I am now running Vista and have have no problems with this item Very easy to install. Works a dream, first time every time

operating system:Windows XPSimple, quality product. As too often, hubs are let down by their power supply. This one has clear 'per port' illumination, a good p/s + cabling. Early days, but better appears better than previous budgety items.
Ideal for cascading USB SmartReader on DreamBox
operating system:LinuxI've been looking for a quality vertical USB hub for ages and this fits the bill perfectly. External smartreader devices need to be mounted vertically for use, this enables 7 cardslots to be used in 1 USB port on your DreamBox....nice one ebuyer!
