operating system:OtherI have used this PSU for my first computer build around 6 months ago, the system runs fine.
As this is the first PSU i have bought i cant really compare it with anything.
Looks really good, in the image it looks black but its more of a gun metal colour.
seems quiet, 140mm fan, modular everything is as you would like.
Its powering a Phenom II 940 2 HDDs and i have used various GPUs to test which i like (ATI 3650, XFX 8800gt 1gb Alpha Dog).
All in all i like OCZ products and will use this PSU again, i have used the 400w version of this model and there have been no problems with that either.
Excellent PSU, Great Price
operating system:Windows XPMy Hiper PSU recently died (taking out two hard drives in the process) so I was looking for a good, reasonably priced and above all quiet PSU as a replacement. The OCZ fits the bill all round.
the modular cabling is a great idea and enables constructors to use just the cables they need an no more, allowing for free-flowing air circulation, a nice touch.
Also the packaging it comes in belies the cost of this unit. You even get a little bag to keep your unused cables in.
I am impressed!
I can't comment on reliability but if the construction of this unit is anything to go by then I won't be disappointed.
An excellent PSU for those looking to build a stable budget system
I've bought two of these as part of two budget systems over two weeks ago and have not regretted it since.
The modular cabling is a bonus and the units i've built have never looked so neat and tidy.
The research I have done on this unit have all indicated that this power supply has been built to a high standard so I certainly felt reassured when buying this product.
One of the more expensive budget systems houses a GTX460, which is an excellent mainstream card that requires 2 PCI express power cables which this PSU has no problems in powering.
Overall very happy with the purchase
quality product
everything is great, such as very quiet. but there is one problem, the 4/8 pin cpu power cable is short. i have this in a nzxt hades case (mid-tower) and it only just reaches the cpu power socket. so cant route wires round the back of the motherboard tray unless you have a small case.
