The ZyXEL PLA-401 v3, a fresh Powerline adapter consumes 16% less power when comparing to the existing Powerline Ethernet adapters. Moreover, when there is no Ethernet link, the PLA-401 v3 will enter the "Standby" mode that reduces energy wasting for over 50% when comparing to the adapters without this feature.
Designed for high performance, your Powerline network can reach the data transfer rates up to 200Mbps. With advanced HomePlug AV technology, the PLA-401 v3 provides users the stable and high-speed Internet access. You just plug a pair of Powerline Ethernet adapters into your house power outlets, and easily enjoy high-definition video streaming and network transmission.
Please note: networking components such as Powerline adapters require that all adapters must work within the same HomePlug standard to remain compatible, for example HomePlug AV (HPAV) adapters with communicate with other HPAV Powerline components, regardless of whether they are 200Mbps or 500Mbps. Older 85Mbps adapters work on the different HomePlug 1.0 standard & are not compatible with HomePlug AV adapters.
All Powerline products will connect to any switch or router Ethernet port. Powerline adapters can be used with extension leads (except surge protection ones), and will work across different ring mains so long as they share a common fuse box. Great
operating system:Windows VistaOrdered Thursday afternoon - arrived Friday morning (despite the snow).
Plugged in to router and computer 40 metres away and worked straight away even though on seperate ring main..
Came with 2 ethernet cables which was a help.
Worked first time
operating system:Windows XPExcellent product, wirelress internet problems solved just by plugging these in and connecting to router in loft and PC in kitchen: even through a 4-plug at the PC end. No configuration needed, connectivity is now always on, and no more problems with USB wireless dongle trying to find router through 2 floors.

operating system:Not ApplicableI tried one of these after having had enough of my crappy belkin range extender constantly dropping signal on me from the main router in my office outside.
This bit of kit is fantastic, simply plugged it into office router, then into the closest wall socket and then plugged the other adaptor into a power socket near my pc in the house and hey presto, a signal as good as if it was plugged into the main router.
Rock solid signal all day long.
To make it even better I then bought the Tenda N router from ebuyer (under £21) to use as an access point so that I could plug both my PC and xbox in and the wireless signal services lappys and iphones etc.
Cracking signal through out the house now, ultra chuffed !!
Simple and wonderfully effective. No muss, no fuss.
operating system:Mac OSXHave been messing about with ineffective MacAirport wifi WDS for months. Plugged this in at the ADSL source in the house and the other plug in the office at the end of the garden and it worked instantly. Office has own fuse box and ring. Would recommend this product even though 500Mbps alternatives are on the cusp of release.
