Coolermaster Centurion 5 II review
operating system:LinuxBought this case last week, overall it is a good solid case and looks better than its picture.
front panel is well constructed with quality buttons, the drive bays are brilliant for quick installation of drives. Large interior for fitting a motherboard.
cons are: cheap plastic holders/latches or what ever they are called on the expansion slots broke one trying to put in my graphics card the diagram doesn't really show how they work or they are not intuative. good job you can still use a screw to hold your card with. the fans are a lot noisier than I expected will need to replace or get a fan controller.
As for the power supply I thought it was modular it is not and it is already fitted without the dust filter on so I had to take it off anyway. Cant tell if the fan is noisey or not due to the noise of the case fans.
Overall I think it is a good case.

operating system:OtherAfter having this product for a couple of weeks I have found a few downsides too it, originally it came and looked amazing but as mentioned in the other reviews the clips and things are cheap and one of mine broke despite following the poor instructions on it. The hdd things are nicer than the IO ports but after using them a few times the paint on the hdd stack has scratched and I think will flake away.
The case comes with poorly made stand off screws, 3 of the 9 supplied had been misshaped and I had to bin them and use others I had about but the socket tool for them is ace and I will keep it with my other pc tools.
The fans are loud, the back/top one rivals a casecom 14cm one I have and if you want a quiet system then you should plan to buy fans or a controller with the case. Lucky for me my mobo has fan points on it but it would have been nice to leave them always on but quiet.
The case front is very nice having the dust filters on it and comes off easily for installing stuff. I would advise to remove all the front bay plates at once as they do little and it can give a nicer look to the case(view past the mesh to the inside) personal preference tho but my inside has red neons.
The rear of the case is large enough to cable manage most of the cables but the large 20+4 will still be inside the main part of the case.
The psu as someone said doesn't have the dust filter on so out it comes and with it paint flakes off around the screw points and the middles of the black screws.
Worst thing I think about it all is the paint quality, better than real budget cases but not by much, if your off the ball for a second anything could leave an unsightly scratch on this case.
The psu comes with a sticker bang smack in the middle at the top as you can see in one of the pics, not the best for a window sided case like this, it does peel off but be careful as this can also leave a nasty scratch.
Got to give it 3 stars as it can cost another £30 to put the fan issues and things right on it and I suspect in a year will look scratched and cheap so need replacing. But it is still ok I guess.
