Price Too High
Too expensive. I once got this for around £30-40 on eBuyer. I don't believe the flooding is causing the price hike, just Christmas!
Excellent
operating system:Windows 7I first bought a samsung f3 for my build, but this broke, which didnt come as much of a surprise, as just after buying one, i saw complaints all over the web.
first, this drive doesnt come with any cables or srews, all you get is the drive, but i had my sata and power cables from my previous drive. The speed is very good, windows was installed extremely quickly, and everything opens within seconds. This drive is mega quite. The only noise coming from my pc is the fans. Turned out my old drive breaking was the best thing. Definately WORTH the 50.00pound.
Excellent Sata III
operating system:Windows 7Excellent Sata III drive, very very fast and very quiet. Remember your Sata III cable and that your board or raid controller supports Sata III 6gbps if it does this is the drive for you.
Im using this as an install drive as i have a 120gb SATA III SSD for my OS, couldnt ask for anything more than this perfect drive as always from Seagate.
Seagate Barracude 500gb
operating system:Windows 7Does pretty much what it says on the tin.
Used it for my primary disk for storing/editing photos only - Lightroom 3 perfomance has improved somewhat over my old Sata II drive. The old drive has become my back up for photos.
Note: Don't forget to buy a sata cable as it's not supplied. And if you're wanting the sata III performance get the relevant cable.
