Excellent Mouse

Not ApplicableI recently purchased this item from a local PC Store (wish I had looked here first).
The design of this mouse is outstanding. You can see a lot of thought has gone into it. I have had several mice (both wired and wireless, individual and in bundles) and none of them has fitted so snugly into the palm of my hand. The ergonomics of this thing are really comfortable.
Every button is programmble via the software, and you can configure each button for individual programmes and games. The thumb wheel is a really good idea for "document flip" (as the software states) basically it cuts out the need to alt-tab when you need it.
The central scroll wheel is excellent and can be configured (per line in ratchet mode and adjust speed in freewheel mode) in freewheel it spins for what seems an eternity. I tried it on my music listing, and after 21,000 lines it was still spinning. (you can change mode (ratchet/freewheel) by pressing the wheel button)
The laser is really responsive and accurate even on 3d progs. Gaming is a breeze. There is a minimum amount of lag on some games (usually at start of game as configs are set)
Rechargable battery lasts up to 14 days on a single charge dependent on usage. Level indicator nicely fades into casing on idle
No need for a receiver like the old MX700, this mouse uses a USB dongle with a really long range (over 15ft)
A "Must have" if you are into wireless mice.
But get it from here as the shops just jack up the price

Windows VistaTotally agree with previous comments just wanted to add one extra comment.
If you spend a lot of time on the web using the Tabbed browsing feature of IE7 customizing the document flip to crate and switch between tabs is excellent and a great time saver.
If your interested in doing this, you need to use setpoint, select Internet explorer as program, select button 9 (document flip) set this to multiple key strokes, ad set the key strokes as follows, 1: CTRL+TAB 2: CTRL+T 3: SHIFT+CTRL+TAB
move wheel forward and back through tabs and push to create new tabs. Setting this to just Internet explorer will keep document flip feature for all other applications.

Windows XPWalking around PC World the other day, looking for a new mouse and keyboard combination… ( not that I buy from PC World , but it was a Sunday after all ! ) When I came across the newly released Logitech MX Revolution Mouse..
After picking up the box and reading the packaging I made a decision and I had to have it…. On seeing their price tag this decision quickly changed…. For I could wait a few more days to get it from eBuyer..
So I logged on ordered it and paid for the priority next day service, which is so worth its cost! The next day my goodies arrived and I set about installing them..
Now I know the mouse only boasts a 1200dpi setting, but to be honest that is absolutely fine in game… The set point software is intuitive and feature rich, even down to application based configurations and smart move functionality for dialog boxes! The mouse itself is lightweight, accurate, sleek and sexy..
The ergonomics of the mouse are the best I’ve ever seen, and since purchase it has seen, many, many hours of use already all with no impact / effect on my wrist or fingers. The scroll functionality and document flip make this mouse the ideal solution for desktop publishing, web developing / designing when quick paging is needed between applications, that’s right no more Alt + Tab to show the next or last window…
This is a must for anyone who’s looking for a serious upgrade to the desktop solution, be it gamer, multimedia user, workstation user, internet browser… This mouse is configurable for all !
I can’t recommend this mouse or the service from eBuyer enough.
Life Changing

It tracks perfectly, I am a graphic designer and this is the only mouse I have used that allows pixel perfect positioning every time.
The frictionless scroll wheel option is superb for quickly moving through long documents.
The ergonomics make this comfortable for all day usage.
The mouse can sustain a full days intensive graphic work without having to re-charge.
It looks exceptionally cool and feels well built.
I have not even installed the software to access the other features, and this is still by far the most superb mouse I have ever used.
Just one problem, once you have one of these you can never go back!

LinuxI got this mouse as a warranty replacement a few months ago. From my experience, the aftersales service from Logitech is excellent. No interrogation or trying to make out that the user is doing something wrong. And no trying to palm me off with a reconditioned mouse as a replacement.
It uses a USB stick as the reciver which is a bit smaller than the average USB drive. The charger is a completly seperate unit which you can position wherever you like if desk space is at a premium. No PS2 option, so you are out of luck if this is important.
Under Windows, the mouse functions perfectly. with all the usual programmable buttons etc. I changed the application flip wheel into a zoom wheel, but otherwise left things at the defaults. There is no lag with this mouse. Even on a cheap mouse mat like I'm using right now, tracking errors are non existant.
Under Linux,
I'd definitly reccomend this mouse to anybody who wants something a cut above the usual optical mouse. I know its fairly expensive, but this is one of those cases where you get what you pay for.

Fantastic if you do design work.
Just remeber to re-charge the thing.

Not ApplicableI did have a concern over buying such an expensive mouse however I must say I am very happy having done it. (but only at the Ebuyer Price, not PCW!)
Well built, Good shape, Easy to install and setup. Excellent response, nice charger, takes little desktop space and a small USB transmitter.
Saves a lot of time in apps through doing more without lifting my hand etc. The scroll wheels resistance free movement allows me to roll down through pages without constant turning, becomes second nature so quickly and then other mice become frustrating!
Battery life is not an issue, power switch on base allows you to turn it off for travelling, power save mode works when you leave the machine, battery indicators give you good warning. Built in re-chargeables seem to last for three days heavy use whilst travelling without and issue.
The zoom mode and Back/Forward buttons mean web browsing is really fast and simple.
I still like trackballs incuding Logitechs more than mice but this is definately the best I have used. No drawbacks. Well done Logitech.
Only missing feature - I would have liked a Bluetooth version however the battery life would probably not have been so good I guess ?
An excellent mouse
I received one of these today and it's by far the best mouse I've had. It has numerous settings all easily changeable using the software.
Works on Mac OS X which is a big plus. The frictionless whell is great and is my default setting.
As always, ebuyer delivered quickly. I would definately recommend this.

So I got this mouse from ebuyer. Arrived 3 days early, free shipping and much cheaper than anywhere else I've seen it.
Idiot proof install, no need to pair the mouse to the dongle, it does it automatically.
I'm so pleased with it, fits perfectly in my right hand, light, v. responsive. Very stylish and worth every penny.
If you are sick of rubbish wireless mice then get this and you won't be disappointed.
I love the power indicator on it, you will never be caught short again... and the wheel..WOW!
Superb Mouse for the Mac User

Mac OSXExcellent mouse for the Mac user. Although, if, like me you are a fan of expose and having fast access to the dashboard then at first you may be dissapointed. This is because when I tried to configure those buttons as a keystroke action, it wasn't working. Since OS X was processing that command when I was only trying to get the Logitech software to remember it!! What you have to do is open up Preferences and go into mouse and keyboard, then keyboard shortcuts. Now temporarily change the shortcut to an unused button. Go back to LCC put the CORRECT key (the one that was the original shortcut) into the keystroke box. Then go back to preferences and change the shortcut back to what it was originally. If you're a Power PC user then you may have trouble with Logitech's latest LCC product. (Version 2.12) All you have to do is Google "download logitech control center 2.11" find the appropriate link and download the older version. It works perfectly with my iMac G5. I am extremely happy with my purchase from ebuyer. And what a fantastic piece of kit!! Hope this helps...
