Sticker
Nice heavy psu, great quality.
The sticker reads:
+3.3v = 30A
+5v = 38A
+12v1 = 22A
+12v2 = 22A
-12v = 0.6A
+5Vsb = 3A
Hope this helped.
Quiet AND Powerful
operating system:
Windows XPI purchased this PSU to fit my Aplus case as I intended to fit dual graphics cards, dual SATA2 drives and a Q6600 Quad Core CPU and to run all of those I wanted sufficient power. I would have purchased a case with a PSU already fitted but I found it substantially cheaper to buy seperately and fit myself.
This PSU is very easy to install, provides plenty of watts for any intensive commputung and is, as far as I can tell, totally silent.
Unfortunately it does not come with a mains lead but as they can be bought for just a couple of pounds perhaps that is just nitpicking.
I recommend this PSU for Gamers and serious PC users as it is a perfect balance of power, efficiency and price.
700W PSU
operating system:
Not ApplicableI've got one of these power supplies, and I cannot fault it at all.
I've got a Intel QX6700 at 3.2 ghz, 4 hardrives, 3xIDE, 1x Sata, also a DVD Writer, running nicely with a 8800 gts.
So its got the power to run just about anything.
power to the people
Great supply very quite nice and solid.Has 2 fans plus a fan monitor cable and the main power cable is braided.Only got one PCI 6 pin converter. Also only 2 rails.Good value for a 700watt unit.
Voltages stable at 1.46
3.38
5.03
12.10
and the fans at 1278 and silent.
Very good psu
very good psu, strong, heavy which means its of good quality, exellent stability all the cables you will ever need, and cheap. EXELLENT
Bang For Bucks
operating system:
Windows VistaRarely you get more than what you pay for but in this case the statement is true. Good solid 700wat PSU with dual 12v rails each 22A so will run a high end Quad core system with an 8800gtx with no probs.
I have an athlon 5600x2 and a 8800gts card and lots of drives and this is rock solid with bags of head room. Cables arent modular but wouldnt expect it for this price if your a seasoned system builder should have no probs hiding them. This is pretty quiet even at high load so im well happy with it so far. I had a hiper 530watt for 3 years and its still going strong hopes this is the same..
Abit AN8 Ultra displayed "F." - this solved the problem
operating system:
Windows XPApologies if the first half of this is irrelevant to you - it may be *very* useful to some.
Running:
Athlon 64 3500+
Abit AN8 Ultra mobo
2 x 1GB GeIL value DDR400
GeForce 6600 256MB
1 x WD Raptor 74GB
1 x WD Caviar 250GB
Akasa 460W PSU (before it died)
A couple of days after adding a 74GB WD Raptor to my system, I shut down normally in the evening, then pressed the power button the next morning and nothing happened. The motherboard displayed the error code "F." - not F.0 or F.1 or another documented error post code, just F. .
Baffled, I stripped it down to the bare bones and still nothing. Reset the BIOS, nothing. Then I took a multimeter to the PSU mobo connector. Shoving the probes down the shoulder of each pin past the wire to touch the metal contact, I measured the voltages and found that Pin 9 (VSB, Standby voltage, should be 5V) was around 4V, and Pin 8 (PWR_OK, goes to 5V when correct voltages have been established to give the mobo the go-ahead to boot) was still low.
I therefore figured that the power supply was at fault, so ordered this one to come the next day.
It arrived this morning, and has solved the problem. Just plugged it in and was back up and running.
So far I've been pleased with it. It's fairly solidly built, and very quiet. Mine came with 4 SATA connectors all on the same cable bunch. My only minor complaint would be that some of the molex connectors were very stiff to plug in and especially to take out to rearrange the wiring - I had to use pliers on one occasion.
It has an external fan connector, so be sure to remember to plug this into a spare fan port on the mobo otherwise you'll sooner or later have yourself a 2.2GHz 64-bit toaster.
For those of you who are intersted, the cellophane-wrapped box contained the PSU itself in a cloth bag, and a pack of four screws.
I'll have to see how it performs in the long run but at the moment it seems like it's a great value and good quality product.
This is Good!
operating system:
Windows XPI just recieved this today. Seems like i got the last one, sorry about that but i needed one hehe.
This is a very quiet PSU, people saying it is not have problems and they need to sort it out.
The one thing that i was worried about with this product was if it was going to fit and if it had the right cables. I had everything right with it which was great!
For this price, it is amazing and it is 700W! I would go for it, if you are thinking about it.
Thanks Ebuyer!
oh and another thing, there is no instruction manuel, so understand how it all fits together in the machine and where the cables connect too first before taking your old one out.
Pete.
Good PSU
operating system:
Windows XPI bought this because i was upgrading my GFX card to a 8600GTS.... Wanted to have a new PSU to run the monster card :) like everyone has said its quite :) Lets just hope it stays that way :P
Cable length
Could anyone tell me the length of the cables that come with this PSU. I have looked on the manufacturers website but could not see anything.
I am looking to buy an antec P180 case that has the power supply at the bottom which requires long cables.
I hope you can help me :) Please write back soon.
