In response to the person who said its not 800mhz
Were you able to change the settings in the bios? Some motherboards wont read spd files correctly and will therefore not run at the rated speed, som have to be set manually, also if you had any 667 ram in and put this in it would all run at 667. Unfortunately the way pcs are, they dont always work 100% first time
CL5
KHX6400D2K2/2G is actually 5-5-5-15<br />
800mhz
up the ram voltage in Bios to at least 1.9 volts and you will see the bus speed go to 800mhz
Great memory, fantastic price
operating system:
Windows XPThis is fantastic memory with great build quality. Being using it for a year now with no problems. Just order some more.
The only downside it that you have to manually set the settings in some bios. Lucky for me my motherboard had some Windows software to do for me.
Lost one star becuase of the setup in the bios.
Once again, Great price
same thing
I have the same situation like you guys. My Asus P5QL Pro mainboard runs the memory modules on 667MHz. In my opinion the mainboard should recognise the RAM properly, should not the user tweak the BIOS :/
Well I'll give a try anyway...
It is NOT DDR2 800 memory!
operating system:
Windows XPWhen I bought it in ebuyer , it was 26Pounds.
I tested the memory in CPU-Z, my motherboard, and another memory test sofware, their all say:
THE MEMORY IS DDR2 667MHZ, PC2-5300.
I think ebuyer should review this product. I pay high price for lower performance memory.:((It is no a good feeling.
This is DDR2 800MHz as stated
Those of you having trouble with this RAM running at 667MHz might be interested in the following link:
http://www.valueram.com/datasheets/KHX6400D2K2_2G.pdf
The first paragraph states:
"Each module pair has been tested to run at DDR2 800MHz at low latency timing of 5-5-5-15 at 2.0V. The SPD is programmed to JEDEC standard latency 667Mhz timing of 5-5-5-15 at 1.8V"
Hope that clears it up!
reply the guy asked me to check BIOS...
I checked the BIOS , there is no any option to change a memory's cpl setting.
As well , I just used 2 GB memory, did not mix any other memory, and my motherboard native supports DDR2 800.
As a results , I sure this memory is DDR2 667.
