I bought this due to to an upgrade to dual core AMD AM2, I have to say i was reluctant at start but when it came through i was very pleased. A quality built supply which i have to say is atleast 5 year future proof. I started with a mobo which required 400w min 4 years ago and now have a board with 600w min requirement. so this supply is perfect. Well worht the money...

My spec is below:

Asus Cross hair Mobo

Amd 6000+ AM2

2 x nvidia geforce 8800

4gb 800 ddr2 Ram

160 gb samsung HD (master)

500 gb Maxtor HD slave

2 x Samsung DVD/RW

Running 64 bit Vista.

offcourse this supply to power it all

Coolmaster praitorian case

Machine runs really nice and preety quite with stock cooling and three chas fans.

Superb PSU

Perfect for enthusiast and gaming PCs. Extremely stable and efficient PSU. Custom PC approved, this is an excellent choice for any system builder.

It is modular so you can add the cables if and when you need them which saves space inside your case which helps keep good airflow. Easily capable of running dual or triple graphics card setups and all the newest CPUs.

It has every kind of connection you could need.

Don't be a fool and buy a cheap PSU, this will only cost you more in the future. Get this! A three year guarantee with this immensely stable PSU is definitely money well spent!

Setups this has been used in:

AMD Phenom 9850X4

Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe

2x Sapphire 3870X2 in Crossfire

4GB OCZ PC2-1066 RAM

1TB Samsung Spinpoint F1

LG Blu ray Drive

2x DVD Optical Drive

Intel E8600 @ 4.5ghz

Asus P5Q Deluxe

sapphire 4870X2

8GB OCZ PC2-8500

1TB Samsung Spinpoint F1

LG Blu Ray

1x DVD Optical Drive

Both systems 100% stable, 24/7, almost always running at full load.

AMAZING PSU!

Bought this on the strengh of a review in custompc, had a seasonic 600w but a mate needed a psu quickly so i gave him mine and bought this to go in my new Antec p182 case. It just fits and the rails are now rock solid, the pc sounds quieter now and i have all the power i could possibly need for the future, currently running as below :

evga 680i motherboard

E6320 @ 3.5ghz

4 x 1gb ddr2 800 ram

500gb samsung hdd

8800gts 640mb

arctic colling freezer 7 pro

pioneer dvd r/w ram drive

No problems at all. and it is more efficient than my last psu.

Decent PSU
review by: beplacid.net rating:

operating system: Linux

I bought this PSU on Saturday delivery and it arrived as promised at 0800 well package and with no issues.

I installed it in my Antec P180 EU tower-case, but due to the size of the PSU, I had to remove the bottom PSU case-fan (two clips can be pushed through with a screwdriver to release it) which is not desirable, but perfectly fine.

It is providing perfect power to my Asus 680i SLI motherboard, running an Intel Core 2 Quad and Gainward GeForce 8800 GTX Bliss. There are plenty of SATA and PCI-E cables for the modular aspect, but beware that there are no Molex connectors, so you may need an adapter if your components or motherboard require Molex.

There is an on/off switch on the back near the power socket, which may come in handy when opening the case etc.

I think the style is great, with the yellow 'racing stripes' making it look quite sleek, even though it's not visible anyway!

Very pleased. 5/5

Came in a nice yellow box and well packaged. Tested first with my PSU tester and was running fine. The fan is sooooo quiet and the modular cables are really nice and made my build quite tidy.

Got this running an asus P5k P35 mobo, Q6600 G0 cpu, 2gb ram, an xfx 8800 ultra extreme and dvd drive/hdd, no problems whatsoever. Money well spent :)

It's good, but won't buy Antec again.
review by: Peter Clifford rating:

This PSU was recommended to me because it IS plenty wattage and that Antec make brilliant PSU's.

It ran fine for about 6 months, handled my system and never had a problem. Then suddenly it just died. It got replaced, then after 5 months the second one died too. Both were found to be faulty and there is nothing wrong with my PC, it runs fine on another PSU.

So either I was extremely unlucky and got two botched PSU's in a row, or they're really not all they're cracked up to be. My system hardly stressed the PSU either.

Intel E8400

Radeon HD4870 512MB

2 1TB HDD

X-Fi Ti Fatal1ty

1066mhz Dominator RAM 4GB

Antec 1200 Case

Generic NEC DVDRW

FreezerPro7

It's a nice PSU, it does the job very well, for a while then just gives up. So, hopefully with another replacement, i'll see how it goes. But I will never PAY for another AntecPSU.

(Just to mention, the RMA of both Ebuyer and Antec are 100% top notch and they were brilliant.)

nVidia 8800GT + Antec Quattro PSU = Lack Of Power!
review by: Anonymous operating system: Windows XP

Just a quick heads up! There is a bug with a number of Quattro PSU's when used with either an nVidia 8800GTX or 8800GT. I have left details in the reviews of the 1000w version so have a read if you intend to use this combo (or search the web).
