Stunning

Bought this tv sometime ago now and not once has it let me down.

I have my laptop/ps3/freeview/xbox 360

running through this thing.

I may go as far to say that this tv challenges the looks and finishes of the samsung tvs which are quite renowned for there smooth finishes.

the blue touch on/off button makes it all the better. i've had people around just to turn it on and off for the sake of 'stroking' my tv lol.

the only thing i found to be a little bit pernickity was the inbuilt aerial which didnt want to pick up a signal whatsoever but was easily fixed with an external one. also the remote has its occasionaly moments where it wont do anything but the majority of the time it works perfectly.

For those that dont already know, this tv is 1080p HD compatible and boy does the graphics off the ps3 look good on this thing, spent most of the time playing assasins creed just climbing up buildings to admire the view then jump down again. really is a good tv for a small room, and in HD, what more could you ask for?

also a good price for what your getting... one of the main reasons i bought it was because being a student im on a budget and i must say, i have had no second thoughts about it what so ever.

how to get good sound
review by: Anonymous os: Not Applicable

The in-built speakers are very tiny. However, if you plug a scart to phono converter with in/out switch into the scart on the tv you can connect it to the input of a surround sound or stereo. The sound is then excellent.

Easy to setup, Easy to use and for the price in my opinion it cant be beaten.

I love it, looks really expensive with it's sleek piano black surround, (I've had quite a few comments already about it's looks). The picture on almost any resolution is razor sharp no matter what I throw at it, I'm running mine through HDMI on a Geforce7600 so I guess that helps.

The built in Freeview decoder is fine, not the best I've seen but plenty good enough. Would have been nice to be able to save stations in your own order, but unless I'm having a senior moment there is no way of reordering even your favourite channels.

So other than the channel order issue my one and only complaint is that mine has one dead pixel, although I try not to let it bother me because now I've got this lovely monitor/TV I don't want to give it back...

BUY ONE, you'll be glad you did!

Sky Remote Code
review by: Anonymous os: Not Applicable

I've bought 2 of these TVs and they are excellent.

Does anybody know the code to get Sky and Sky+ remotes to work with this TV?

Had this TV for a couple of days now and it is absolutely fantastic!!

It has more connections than you would know what to do with. (OK so I won't use them all...)

But still awesome picture on everything I've used so far and dead simple to set up.

The built in tuners are good although it is connected up to a lousy aerial so the picture could be better but it isn't the TV's fault.

As always the built in speakers could be better, but they are only small.

Already planning to order another!

Impressed!

After doing a fair bit of research i decided to opt for this model. My only worries being that as its a "monitor tv" and after reading revies on CNET that the TV picture would be bad, i cant fault it atall. Looks impressive as hell. Contrast ratio makes a notable difference, and XD also makes the picture sharper. also, the tv looks alot more stlyish than the pictures show, highly polished gloss finish and the grey bar isnt anywhere near as cheesey as the photos look! Hooked up to PC via VGA and this looks awesome, "proper" tv would normally fall down here, 360 through component looks phenominal! Sound as eveyone says isnt brilliant, but its a small sacrafice im happy i made! Would recommend at this price.

Ordered at 3pm and arrived the very next morning.

I use this for gaming and have my PS3 and XBox360 hooked to it - and the picture is amazing!!!!!

I can get 1080p out of the PS3 through HDMI and 1080i on the Xbox through component.

The PS3 does not automatically work, you need to hold the power button down for 10 seconds on the PS3. Then it detects the monitor.

Overall a great buy for gamers.

P.S. No problems with sound here.

Connecting to PS3 through HDMI
review by: Anonymous os: Not Applicable

Firstly, this is a great product, and it DOES work perfectly with the PS3, but I must admit that it did stump me at first.

On the input select, you go down to HDMI and press the left or right button to switch to 'HDMI - DTV' (I think the default is 'HDMI - PC'). This is the input that picks up the PS3 HDMI.

I did have to plug in using scart first, then on the PS3 menu go to the display settings - select HDMI, click 'change' and then switch the TV to the 'HDMI - DTV' setting.

I hope this helps anyone else who struggled like I did.

Great TV by the way. Great Value
