Just replaced the dead PSU from our mail server with this. This is what you call cheap and cheerful. No problems at all with this unit. Does exactly what it is suppose to and it is even quiet! Makes a change from these crap PSUs we keep seeing time and time again. Nice one Ebuyer!

For all intents and purposes this is totally silent.

Good build quality and decent length on the leads.

I bought one of these to replace my Hiper Type R PSU which had lasted me almost 4 years of continous use. MUCH cheaper than the high end type R, but seems as good. Doesnt look cheap either and nicely packaged so good for resellers/system builders who want to impress.

good value psu

Just put this into a Dell 2350 with a little modification required on the casing as the holes did not sit square. Works quietly, a little quieter than the old unit. I like the cables which look smart in the black wrapping and plenty of options on the connections. The fan is huge and sucks air from the case, working like an additional case fan. Apparently this PSU has some controls/filters to keep the power supply smooth. All in all I think a good value quality bit of kit to upgrade my old hunk of junk.

In my line of work I have to replace many PC power supplies. Out of the all the power supplies I have replaced over recent years this has had the most stable results under load. The voltages have been exact to the manufacturers specifications.

Great, quiet and robust

I have used this once and have ordered another - its quite quiet for a cheap brand

I had it running just 1 Dual-core E4500, 1 DVD and 1 HD and a 8600GT and all smooth if your planning to add more than that then you will need a higher wattage...

the wires/cables are very robust - just a shame u cant unplug the ones you dont use.. but theres usually loads of room behind it and the DVD drive the bundle them and tie em up....

Mine leaked after 18 months!

Well built and functional, and good value for the price but a capacitor leaked after 18 months use. The PSU still works but the smell of burnt electrolyte is too foul so this one is being returned for replacement: That's the value of a 3 year warranty!

Needless to say I've replaced it with a Seasonic S12 costing twice as much, as Hiper's "quality" tag doesn't seem so special now...

My PSU died within an hour of booting a new PC. Now my system runs very well cheap PSU which came with a computer case combined price of which was 22 pounds . However the product looked sturdy with plenty of connectors. SATA connector reached my DVD drive only and could not reach the hard drive which was compensated by the plenty of molex connectors that this PSU has

Just unlucky I guess but this PSU was DOA, hence no review.

In the process of RMA'ing for a refund as I type.
