OtherI received the F3 1TB this morning and i installed the HDD as another storage drive as i am using a Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB HDD for my operating system.
Later today my F1 HDD decided to start playing up and was obviously faulty (as most of them are) and so i took out the F1 and decided to use the F3 for my operating system (windows 7).
It installed perfectly and is absolutely lightning fast. ive never seen games being installed so quickly and 700mb film shifting in mere seconds.
I reccomend this HDD but steer clear of the F1's
BitTech Review of the F3
operating system:
Windows XPThis is one impressive drive which seems to beat the competion hands down! BitTech reckon its the fastest harddisk they benchmarked so far!
Review here:

Disk is not pre initialized / formated
Please note this disk needs to be initialized and formated before Windows Vista / Windows 7 will show it on the 'my computer' hard drive List.
Once connected use Windows 'Disk managmnet' tool to 'Initialize' and 'format'this disk.
Takes around an hour.
The Best HDD Currently Available
operating system:
Not ApplicablePerformance wise, this hard drive is truly sensational - the next best thing to a SSD. Factor in the very competitive pricing, and it is frankly unbeatable. Don't just take my word for it, check out the review on the bit-tech website! Personally, I've used Samsung drives for many years and never had a problem - no DOAs, no firmware/data access scares. Just buy it, you won't be disappointed.
Sky HD
operating system:
Not ApplicableHard drive arrived within 2 days on free postage. Installed in Sky HD box over weekend using copy+. Fired it up and it works perfectly.
Hard drive is completely silent, a real bargain and I now have 87% free on my sky box which was nearly full.
Excellent
operating system:
Not ApplicableThis drive is simply amazing. With only 2 500GB platters you will see AVERAGE speeds of 120MB/s and beyond
After installing and formatting I ran a HDTach benchmark. Average read was 121.8MB/s, and burst was 257MB/s.
It is also very quiet and runs fairly cool, again due to only 2 platters. You will not be disappointed.
fast
operating system:
Windows Vistapretty good HD, just put in a new build with an Intel i5.
Drive is nice and fast, but not silent.
Very Promising
operating system:
Mac OSXI bought 2 of these F3 drives to go into a Netgear ReadyNAS.
They are very quiet. I wouldn't say they're silent but considering the RAID is located under my bed, in fact under when I lay my head for the night, I'd say it's as quiet as you need it.
Very impressed. Hopefully the reliability will be as good as what I've read.
Fast
operating system:
Windows 7This drive is very fast and is a great option for anyone waiting for the price of ssd's to drop in price like me. The drive scores 5.9 in windows 7 which is the highest I have seen without going to an ssd. This hdd came in a plastic packaging with screws and the manuel and I would go as far as saying this is the best traditional hard drive on the market at the min so don't hesitate to pick one up, you will not be dissapointed
