Amazing
operating system:Windows 7This fan is beastly.. supplys my hardrives (because i have this fan mounted at the front) with like 5 degreas air.. amazing also the blue L.E.D lights are realy bright so they look attractive to your case.. the cable for it has a 4 pin molex and a standard 3 pin and the cable is very long so its ideal if you have it far away from your psu, also the fan is extremely quiet.. cant hear a thing even with my ear up to it.
5 stars overall.. very good
cool n fairly quiet
operating system:Windows 7This is a massive fan with a very good airflow and is fairly quiet, though I'm no expert. I can hear it but it's not overly intrusive.
I've mounted it at the top of my pc case (205154) blowing air out and is situated under my desk and can feel it blowing the air. Not so good during the cold weather as my hands start shivering.
Anyway, it keeps my phenom II cool. It normally operates at around 38 deg (while converting video files with 80 percent load) . After adding the fan, it came down to 17 deg. This is probably due to it being so cold in my room (i installed the fan in Jan) so it'll be less effective during the summer, probably.
Oh, and it's got a shiny blue led light. If you like that sort of thing, but who doesn't?
I recommend it if it'll fit in your case. Unless you're a serious gamer or use CPU intensive programs and need something more hi-tech. For me, it does it's job and looks nice. What more do you want?
Great
operating system:Windows 7I bought four of these fans to cool my CM 690, to add to the blue fan this case already has. These fans have both 4 pin Molex and 3 pin PWM headers, so they can be plugged straight into the power supply or into the motherboard or a fan controller. They are bright and look awesome, and while they aren't the most powerful fans in the world ever, they strike an excellent balance between quietness and effectiveness. Great value for money, and at least as good as the more expensive Antec and Coolermaster fans I have had before. Buy them!
Brilliant.
operating system:Windows 7Not sure if this is due to the location, or the effect of just having a fan fitted, but ordered two of these yesterday, both arrived today.
Only trouble I had was fitting them. Casecom decided to give me four screws to fit the fans to the case with, but decided not to actually cut the holes so the screws would fit securely. However, after a good hour or so fiddling around with one, I've actually got on up and running as an exhaust fan and the difference it temperatures is staggering.
Prior to having this fan here, the computer was running hot, with my X4 965 running upto 50c at times, although often idling around 40c. The other components such as the motherboard, both harddrives and the graphics card weren't entirely what could be considered cool either.
After checking with Speccy, I've noticed so far, an average temperature drop of around 10c, with the CPU now running at just under 30c, the mobo on just over 30c, the graphics card hovering between 30-35c and both harddrives in the lower 20s.
This is with only a 700rpm intake fan that was already fitted by the case manufacturer (in this case, Bitfenix Shinobi). If this is the temperature drop so far, hopefully with the second fan installed on the top and two further intakes installed I'd be able to see temperatures fall an extra 5-7c.
Best thing though is the effect I've had for price, especially since I've not had much luck with buying fans, but so far this has turned out to be a brilliant purchase for such a modest price.
And with the stock AMD cooler being a noisy little so-and-so at times, the difference in temperature has made a profound impact on the loudness of the computer, which is running very quiet.
