ASUS G210
operating system:Windows 7Easy to install and improved the graphics no end. We'll see how the heat sink goes in an extended session. Cannot fault it at this price.
Very good Graphics card
operating system:Mac OSXI have had this graphics card for a few weeks and it is very good value. The graphics on my computer have definitely been running smoother. Would definitely recommend.
ASUS G210 512Mb Graphics Card
operating system:Windows XPI needed a reasonably cheap graphics card to improve on the onboard graphics. I'm not using it for gaming or video editing etc. I just needed a card to smooth out BBC iplayer and such like. This is the card. It isn't all singing, nor is it all dancing but it does the job I bought it for, satisfactory. Easy to install and easy to set up, and BBC iplayer, ITVplayer etc. all play smoothly without any problems. I haven't needed to yet but it does have the facility and software to overclock and monitor the cards performance, but that's for those who probably know what they are doing. As it is this card does what I want it to do, and it does it quietly.
Possible problem fixes?
operating system:Windows VistaI bought one of these to go with an Asrock MoBo and Sempron 145 processor.
Wouldn't play oldish games videos or sound, although everything else worked OK. Also the machine now took about 15 minutes (literally!!!) to boot and shut down.
The fix is to uninstall the Asus Gamer's OSD and SmartDoctor software, then look at your video connection..... if you are using HDMI it might have selected NVIDIA's HD audio software? well that won't work if your screen doesn't have built in speakers.
I have the 32bit Vista Home Premium, FYI.
Very nice card which is why I am here :) ....... to buy another one.
