I bought this for use in a desktop PC that I wanted to use as a VMWare vSphere host, but the built-in NIC was not supported by vSphere, and I needed a low-profile card. This has worked perfectly and without fault.

Value for money , general ubiquity of these server NIC's in working with all OS's , this low profile one being used in a shuttle PC using Windows XP Pro to give access to a server on a different subnet, I've also got one shorn of its bracket working in a mini-ITX router/firewall "pfsense" run on FreeBSD 8.1 ( It supports VLAN's "dot1Q")
