WASD Players Priority
review by: Anonymous rating:

Just thought I'd mention that this keyboard:

-Has anti-ghosting, but ONLY on the WASD gaming cluster (that is W, A, S, D, 1 - 5, shift, control and space)

-Has 1000Hz ultrapolling (1ms response time) on all the keys.

-Every single key can have a macro assigned to it.

-It looks sexy :D

-The keys are NOT hard to see during the day, contrary to lots of reviews.

-The touchpanel is easy to use, just you do need the backlighting on (turning it off is stupid in any case) to see it

-The only backlighting setting you should ever use is the standard one - everything is lit up, not just WASD.

-It's fairly quiet, but there are quieter ones

-The glossy finish is annoying - you need to clean it often to remove fingerprints etc.

Overall, it's a very nice keyboard to have, it goes well with a lachesis as they are both black with blue lights.

Fairly pricey - but worth it.

Simply wow! Looks amazing, feels amazing and preforms amazing!

The price tag is a hefty one but you will not regret it!

The rubber coating of the keys makes this feel absolutely stunning and with the blue back lights, well that's the cherry on the top!

The touch screen, yes touch screen 'media' keys are so handy.

Also the software that comes with this is amazing, it makes the keyboard fully adjustable including lighting and buttons!

Honestly this is a must have, you will not regret this one single bit!

Perfect

Same finish as the PS3 and my TV so fits in perfectly.

This keyboard is stunning at night with the blue lit up keys. I bought this for typing at night and it really does the job.

The media panel has play/pause, forward, rewind, stop and vol. up and down.

The keyboard lights are either on,off or just WSAD on, which i don't use.

Probably not a keyboard for a serious gamer but perfect for me and probably for you :p

Handrest also comes off which looks much better.

The perfect keyboard
review by: Echoes operating system: Windows Vista

This keyboard in my opinion is absolubtly brilliant.

The keys are really agile and just have the right ammount of tactile feel (thats how much you press them down to react for the non pc people out there), think laptop mixed with an OEM keyboarda and thats what it is like typing on this keyboard. The keys themselves are the right size and spaced the perfect distance appart, for me it took a little getting used to but in the end brilliant.

The rubber coating is a godsend if you play games alot on the pc, it feels more comfortable. I find it is also nice for just normal typing.

Contrary to many criticsims, the backlight is perfect, meaning for people that can't touch type, they will have no problem. The keys show up well even in bright light and look amazing in the dark!

The keys are nice and light to press and the touch screen is perfect (albeit a little sensitive but you get used to it)

Everysingle key can be a macro (program the buttons to do multiple tasks) this is very useful for RTS players unlike the tarantula where you only had 6 buttons.

This keyboard can be used as an OEM even though it takes up two USB slots. The keyboard is compact, and heavy enough that when used with its anti slip feet you actually can not move it, you have to pick it up to move it. you can also disable that pesky windows key and have 10 different profiles that activate when you selct a specific program that you have set it to (all thanks to the razer software which is perfect)

The only problems that i have had with this keyboard is the face that sometimes the touch pannel dosent respond causeing a quick unplug and plug in of the USB's but other than that i have absoubtly no problem with this keyboard!

GET THIS YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!

10 years ago i got hold of a very old original IBM keyboard and nothing has been able to beat it until now. I type fast and this Razer is not only fantastic for gaming, its rubberised and very responsive keys make it perfect for typing with ease and minimal mistakes !! On top of that it really is the most stunning keyboard i've ever seen, i rarely write purchase reviews but this is well worthy of my time. It cost me 55 quid but i would pay a LOT more for this !!

Awesome fun

I've had the Lycosa for a few days now, and I'm really enjoying using it. I'm a student by day with a load of essays to write, and I like gaming in my spare time - so I was after a keyboard that would enable me to do both - and this is it.

It's really good to use, the keys are very light and low-profile - pretty noisy so you know you've used them, but they're not going to kill your hands if you use them for hours on end. Having said that, the spacebar has a strange buzz to it, I'm sure it doesn't mean it's bad quality, but it just sounds a bit cheap - disappointing, but it won't make me cry.

The backlighting is excellent, matches my blue PC nicely and is visible in broad daylight and under my desklamp, but it really comes into its own when it's dark - it looks awesome (my friends are jealous 'cos they spend all their money on beer not great keyboards).

As far as performance in games goes, it's flawless. The backlighting of only WASD is a bit of a gimmick - my fingers are always over them when I'm gaming anyway... but no-one does gaming like Razer, and you can really tell the difference.

So, if you're after a highly useable, great looking keyboard, then this is it.

This is great
review by: Anonymous operating system: Windows Vista

There is nothing to fault with this keyboard it is responsive and is comfortable to use. The lights are the right brightness at night but a bit dull in the day. Also the driver software which comes with the keyboard is great it allows you to customize the keyboard to you and its simple to use. I would recommend this as a gaming keyboard.

Also Ebuyer was great with their delivery like always order it at 7pm arrived at 9am next day.

Not so good if you Dont use WASD
review by: Colin Mackay rating:

operating system: Windows XP

I saw this keyboard and had to buy it beacuse it has a standard keyboard layout unlike the razer taranchula.

First impressions are good, looks good, backlit keys are nice, you can plug your headphones/mic/usb device into the keyboard.

now I am NOT a wasd player I use the directional keys and the keys surrounding (directon, ctrl, shift, num 0, num 1, del, end, pg_dwn) I have large hands

so this is comfortable for me, If you are like me and dont use the gaming cluster on the keyboard (WASD) you probably will NOT want to buy this keyboard as the 1ms response time and anti ghosting ONLY works on the gaming cluster.

I've had to switch back to a standard keyboard just to play 3d shooters, which totally defeats the purpose of the keyboard.

3 stars beacuse it looks good, and the multimedia pad is very handy (control winamp/windows player from inside the game)

If you are a WASD player buy it you wont be disapointed, if you dont use WASD then this is not for you
