I bought this to replace the supposedly whisper quiet fan on the Thermaltake Silent Boost socketA cooler. These 120mm fans are BIG, so measure up before ordering, and don't forget a 80mm to 120mm step up adapter.

Well balanced, no hum. I didn't expect to see any improvement in the cpu temperature, but from 44degC to 38degC idle with a 2500+ modestly overclocked by 100MHz, i'm impressed.

part 2

One thing to bare in mind, this is as a case fan, if your buying it to do what i've done, don't forget it is the 4 pin connector, with no speed sensing output, so unless you have another fan with a speed sensor output you can plug into the now vacant cpu fan socket, your motherboard probably won't boot as a safety precaution, since it thinks there is no fan there.

I bought both the ebuyer value black fan and this fan, and out of the two, this appears to be the quieter to my ears.

1. Arrived on time
2. Came packaged (casecom CM-12BLUE) with fixing screws
3. The fan comes with Molex (4 pin) in/out plugs
4. No speed control (yellow wire)
5. This is not a CPU fan
Used as a rear exhaust fan.
As I don't like wires to show on my windowed case I cut of the molex plugs and use a small screw block connector and the wires of an old 80mm 3pin fan. Ran it at the back of PSU to the front of the case and plugged in to the MOBO case fan outlet. On my MOBO you can switch off the speed sensor in the bios.
ALL still working. ONLY cost £2 LOOKs GOOD

Bought 2 of these fans for my new Antec P160 case and they fit perfect with no mods needed.

These fans are very quiet and move alot of air, my case has cooled down by 4C!!

The blue LED is a bonus and looks great, and for £1.29 each i cannot complain.

Highly recommended

Fan Details
review by: Anonymous operating system: Not Applicable

Assuming this is the Casecom 120mm fan (as others have suggested) I beleive it has the following specs:

Sleeve Bearing

4-pin Molex Connector

Accoustical Noise : 26BA

Speed (R.P.M) 2300 RPM

Max Air Flow: 31.62CFM

Life Expectancy: 70000 Hours

Hope that helps :)

Great big fan, lovely LEDs!

The fan is a 'frosted' kind of plastic, so it doesn't seem as bright as the 80mm fans, but still a bargain at £1.29!
