Hi Graham,
I am one of the Asus technical support staff in the UK, I have just seen your review and I wanted to make a response to help both yourself and anyone else who might be looking at the P5G41T-M LX motherboard.
Just so you know the P5G41T-M LX was designed to be fully compatible with Windows 7 x64 from its initial design and has undergone extensive QA tests before being produced. Many users are using this motherboard currently with Windows 7 x64 without issue.
Due to not having enough information about your system I cannot say for sure what was causing the problem with your Windows installation, I can say however that the Asus Turbo Key feature won't be the cause due to the fact that it isn't activated until you have actually entered Windows to program it with our software. When having a technical issue a good course of action is often to update the BIOS which will often include stability fixes and increased hardware support. For this you can use our easy to use and safe EZ FLASH tool which is located in our BIOS, also the latest software/BIOS can be downloaded from our website: www.support.asus.com

operating system:Windows 7Replaced an ageing fried Asus p4p board with this one and wasn't expecting it to be as good. Read some online reviews that claim it to be slow. I find it very much to the contrary and the Turbo feature is amazing. I really have no idea what it does but the Turbo button makes the system amazingly faster. Games load in about 1/2 the time and graphic performance is stunning. I am playing Left for Dead 2 on maximum using an HD 23.8 inch TV at a resolution of 1900 x1000 using a Nvidia 430GT with just a Core 2 E6600 2.4GHz. The older Nvidia chipped board never got close to this.
Best motherboard for price
operating system:Windows 7No idea what problem Granham is having, probably has fault with memory or PSU. I have built many PCs with this motherboard and all work fine with Windows 7 64bit.
It is very well built with quality components, best motherboard you can get for the price.
I have set some up with 8GB DDR3 and it works a dream.
Good budget board
operating system:Windows 7Have had no problems with this board either, runs very smoothly and took re-used components with no issues, running windows 7 64-bit
